Waited over 25 minutes for food that was pre-ordered when I was told it was almost ready upon walking in. There were only 4 tables with guests seated.

Hostess was on her phone FaceTimeing someone not giving a f. She keep telling everyone only 30 minutes. When it clearly takes longer because of them being short staffed. But about 4 family left before I left and we (all 4 family) never got sat. I understand being short staffed but being on your phone not paying attention when you are the Hostess is unacceptable.

Every Red Robin in STL that I’ve been to has been 10/10. The restaurant was not busy at all so I’m not sure if this location was just having a bad day or what. It just felt off the moment I stepped into the restaurant, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I love RR. The hostess said she was cleaning off a table for me and my fiancé meanwhile the people who walked in after us got immediately seated. It took about 5-7 minutes for the hostess to come back and that’s when I noticed she was wearing slides while working. The server we had was nice but it felt like she was paying attention to her bigger parties because 3 people who got sat after us got their food AND FINISHED before we ever got our food. About 10-15 minutes after we ordered, the server comes over and says they’re out of fries and they’re shutting the restaurant down. No big deal, but our food was another 20-25 minutes after she told us. The sides we got instead of the fries were absolutely disgusting. The broccoli was sitting in a pool of garlic butter and the coleslaw just tasted off. If the server didn’t take the appetizer off and gave us 50% off, we were gonna walk out without paying because that was the worst RR experience ever.

The food was good overall, but we servers could use some more training.

Had food ordered to-go at a specific time and when I arrived a little before the time for my order to be ready they said a few more minutes. The order took 40 minutes past the time I had requested. The restaurant had maybe 5 parties inside.
Then when I got home the order didn't have the double patties that were requested on 2 of the burgers. Everything was cold as well

We went in tonight to eat. When we were seated there was a foul odor coming from somewhere. We ordered our food and food came out in a timely manner. As the waitress was handing the kids food we saw the bottom of the plate had a large amount of food dried to the bottom of it and we told the waitress she would fix it. The second plate was also dirty but on the top of the plate so we said something about that as well. The waitress comes back and said she transfered the food from the first dirty plate to a clean plate. The second dirty plate she said they changed out the bun on the cheeseburger and transferred the rest of the food to a different plate. The food was warm at best. This is the second time we have had a bad experience. Definitely wasn't worth $70 and we won't be going back.

Short tubby waitress with colored hair was very rude to us. Service was extremely slow, so we ended up leaving. The place was empty, no idea why it was so bad.

Each order in the past 1.5 years has had an issue. Most recently the chicken sandwich was inedible (rubber), which can only be cause by severely overlooking or refrying an old piece of chicken). Called and was told to bring it back to the restaurant. I did, but manger didn't even come out. Hostess said he was too busy. Why even waste my time having me come in? Then the hostess asked if I wanted it remade or refunded. I said refunded, but the refund never happened.
Contacted corporate via social media, but no resolution happened. I just kept getting told to call different corporate numbers. I ended up disputing with my bank.
Red Robin has wasted enough of my time. Quality is too inconsistent, staff is too untrained, and management doesn't care about the quality or their service. I won't go back.
Edit: Company response to this review is tone deaf as well. After wasting my time and money EVEN AFTER reaching out to management (and contacting through social media) their response is for me to take yet more action to help them investigate their own store shortcomings.
No, Red Robin, I will not call your guest services.

Service has gone wayyyy down hill. Visited this location 12/17/24 around 8pm, like 3-4 tables in the entire restaurant. They advertise “bottomless fries” we asked for a fry refill literally 20 minutes ago, my wife is waiting for her fry refill as I type this review out still. Waitress comes over finally saying “are you still waiting on those fries?” My wife said “yes can I get a refill of water too?” And this happened 8 minutes ago. Still nothing. Damn near empty restaurant, employees in the kitchen talking/laughing. Waitress will come to our side of the restaurant once every 10-12 minutes with no frites, no water… like what is this service? I leave A LOT of reviews and I’ve never had service this frustrating in my life. If I could rate negative stars I would.
Edit: fries finally came 22-25 minutes after asking, no water still.

Absolutely deceptive marketing of the side items. We paid $2.99 for a tiny bowl of Coleslaw & $2.99 for sweet potato fries. The menu is very deceptive on what side items are an up charge, and which are included with your burger. First and last dining experience at Rip Off Robin. $46 dollars out the door (2) burgers, fries, coleslaw (2) glasses of water.

We had lunch at Red Robin when we were in town because we have loved it in the past and don't have one where we live. First, the restaurant is filthy! Tired and filthy! Second, they did not have what two of us wanted. We were told they are out of 3 items needed to make it. Not a huge deal but, my favorite item. Third, our friend ordered a beer cheese dip and it was cold. Not cooled off
,but cold as if from the refrigerator. One person in our party had hot food. My entree and side was cold. The fries for dipping in the cheese sauce were cold. Fourth, the food was delivered in a way that the health department would have frowned on. The condiment cups were stacked on the food. God only knows how many hands touched the cups or the surfaces they sat on prior to delivery. The sides were stacked on the entrees. Fifth, the waitress kept our drinks filled but did not remember not ever asking how our food was. To be fair, she was very busy. We told her about the cold food. She said if we wrote our names on a sticky note, she would comp us a meal next time. She said she would bring more fries and hot cheese sauce. She brought about 8 fries and skipped the cheese sauce. One group was charged for sides that were not steak fries but the other group was not charged for them. Sixth, the restroom was disgusting! Garbage everywhere! Filthy. We should have followed our instinct and left. Defenitely will not ever go back to this location! The meals served to us should have been discounted. We did ask but we're told it is because we never said anything when she asked. Sorry sis, you didn't ask our table and never came back until you brought our check. Hard no for ever going back. $40.00 for cold food (2 people and water to drink) and lip service!!!!
