the burgers are always delicious, favorite of mine is the mushroom swiss burger and the western.
i highly recommend getting their horseshoes with grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, and fresno sauce (with the cheese sauce as well). its so good! remember to get a drink.
everything goes great with their shakes as well.
every time i've been here the place is spotless clean and the staff are very friendly.

Not the same! Very limited menu. The chili is not the same and tasteless. The burger was fine. The floor is tacky which is never good. One bright spot was the young gentleman behind the counter. Very nice and respectful.

I am not usually one to complain but this occasion was rather excessive. Ordered online, waited in line for 30 minutes the first time to pick it up. Not a problem. They got the order wrong, not a big deal. I called to see if I could get a remake and went back to the drive thru to pick up the remake. Waited a full hour in line before getting to the window just for them to have forgotten what was on the original order and wait another 15 for them to make it. Got home, the food was still wrong. By the time I got home, the other food was sad and soggy. 👎

Service was horrible. Girl said she would be with me in a minute & she never returned. Finally a guy came to the front & asked them about their horseshoes & one question he just decided not to answer. There was a guy when I ordered waiting for a DoorDash & they took forever to get him. He had to how much longer. There was another guy waiting there forever too & they were slow. They charged me for water (not bottled) which is crazy. Took me about 30 minutes to get my food. Food was ok but pretty small for a horseshoe. If you want a horseshoe go to someplace like Charley Parker’s better in every aspect & not that much more money

They seemed to be understaffed the day I dined in. I don't think I could give a fair assessment for the cleanliness because of the lack of employees that particular day, but the food was as expected.
Worst meal and service first cup chilly 17 min later my cheeseburger 11 min got my fries it be awile before I go back to dirksen parkway springfield

I should've known before I walked in this would be the worst steak and shake I've ever been to. The parking lot was almost completely empty on a Thursday afternoon at 5pm. The service was terrible I had go up to the counter to twice to check and see if they actually made my food. 2nd time the guy says it was sitting to long so he had to remake it. I wasn't the only one waiting for my food. I can't imagine this location will be around too much longer.

The man at the counter was super nice. Everyone had a great aditude, was friendly. The new fries were a pleasant surprise. This was the best experience I’ve had at a Stake n Shake in YEARS. Keep up the good work. I do miss the old wait staff but still a great place to be
