I live over an hour away, when I come into town taco gringo is my go-to. Was my go-to. Why does it smell like sewage inside the restaurant? Why is no one wearing gloves or hairnets? Absolutely foul. Unfortunately I will never be back.

I ordered a diet pepsi and two soft tacos. Well, the soda was good. The soft tacos were so full of grease and juice so by the time I opened them, (less than 3 minutes) the juice had soaked thru the soft tortilla and thru the paper wrapping. I had about two bites and I was covered in juice. There was money wasted.

Stopped today to buy my teen grandsons lunch. Asked for 2 orders each of rice and beans. I was dumbfounded to be given a 6-8 ounce cup each - total was $16. This was barely an appetizer for growing boys. 1st and last visit.

It's a Springfield staple and I've loved it since the early 80's. Don't know why but seems like all locations nowadays, they don't get the meat hot as they used to. Turn up the steamtable. Sanchos need the contrast of piping hot meat against the cold ingredients. Otherwise it's virtually served lukewarm.

The lady at the drive thru laughed at me bc I didn't know how to order taco gringo bc I'm from TEXAS. Worst experience ever. Mocked me and laughed in my face. Had to gather herself bc she found my order that funny. Will not return nor will I recommend.

Edit: Ok I’ll elaborate, went there 8pm, they close at 9, figured would be enough time. Someone worked at the restaurant left around 8:50, didn’t say a word while there are probably 7 cars in the line. I’ve seen fast food restaurants employee come out and tell driver of each vehicle saying they are out of food or won’t make it in time.
TLDR: Poor organization, poor service. And owner trolls customer. Nice.

Love taco gringo but last couple of times I walk in worker standing there eating then comes and takes my order then goes and helps make my food. While another worker is talking so loud about slapping someone just wish they could find better workers cause they girls don't care and that seems to be alot of places lately

well for one can tell ur gm think his name is Tim and the night time girl that wears glasses that they need to talk to there employees better on different occasions I cam Into eat and listen to Tim raise his voice at employees belittle them and when they are really busy and the guy making the food was doin nachos nthe gut by the fryer sideways doinga big order of tacos and Tim threatens to send them home if they don't start moving 100 times faster and then just the luther day I was ordering food and there was a phone call n a lady was bringing ba k food that was supposed made wrong finally I got.my order all done and the girl walks in with part of the items and the item that she brought in was 80% ate so the gm yelled at the guys making the food that they did. terrible job and that he Tim is gonna get fired well then he and the girl who was handing out the orders got Into a argument because the girl handing out the orders watched the gu make the food N was 100 percent rightn ti.e goes no wasn't u guys gonna make it all over again then the girl was like wasn't our fault then told the girl that was bagging orders that she was in charge and he was going home and is done so the gm walked out on his employees and a lobby full of customers and we all watched how he was treating yelling and basically telling them that they were worthless and if they didn't like the way he was talking to them they can clock out and go home now u got the girl who wears glasses at night n I think she's a asst manager or something cause she can't stay off her phone and she is always talking N texting the lil short guy that mKes food at nights then the outher day think her nameis Tiffany well herald the guy that is making the food by the fries but on the line well they were cussing and yelling at each outher n she dint have any ideawhY to do but the short guy said in not doing this and said he was going home after out a hour everything was going good till I heard a custmer being extremely rude to the asst. manager n to the girls at the window n the order they ordered was like 30 bucks n heard her say there so rude forget this we are gonna mKe there food from the grave I s lime wtf does that mean n then heard them all laughing n saying it's all old meat used chicken cheese everything use on tacos n nachos thatits all hot old and definitely not safe I went to the bathroom n when I got out I was gonna stop them people from taking that order or eating it cause that definitely was not safe and extremely gross made me puke in the bathroom and listing to them a laugh gotta mean this is a daily thing or something that a huge health hazard and tom Morning I'm going to report all this to the health dept and someone for the rights of the employees cause idk how they are working there and being treated like dirt then the outher day the phone rang and was a owner something about the work schedule and u could hear them yelling and cussing at each outher thru the door from the counter how doesa owner put up with a gm that treats the employees like crap and even talks like crap to the owner wow!! lucky I couldn't get my phone out fast enough to record how the gm n the asst manager talks to employees and how the asst laughs about it when they make unhealthy food and serve it!! I will never be back unless there are changes to the store asap!!!!!!°
