Not huge. But nice selection on snack cakes for $1.00.

My father Bill Costello was the General Manager of the Butternut Bakery in Springfield. Then was promoted to the Peoria Butternut Bread Bakery in 1963.

They have bread and snack cakes. Quite a selection. They also have other food products. Freeze pops, gravy mix, spices, and sugary drinks. Nothing really nutritious or filling, but it all tastes pretty good.

Going through town, I stopped. Great service. Friendly staff. Good prices. Disappointed that the loaf of bread and hamburger buns were moldy the day after I bought them, but yet 4 days from best by date. However it's a discount place and I live 3hrs away
