Love the uncle Louis sandwich. Spaghetti is rather blah. Always not real clean. I think the place just needs updating. They can’t seem to change the lightbulb in the mens restroom so you have to prop door open with garbage can when you go potty ?. Or use women’s.

Not a good atmosphere or food. Owner is a real pos and doesn't care about the well being of his employees. Brian Clevenger-Carter is his name and he's well known for not compensating his employees and makes threats to them if they ask. Stay away from this place!

Great place for pasta and tea

We live over an hour away from this location and it was well worth the time spent driving here. The food has changed a little bit. I think it's better than it was the last time I was here. (Over 2 years ago thanks to the Rona) service has improved greatly and cleanliness has noticeably improved. We make a point to go on Sunday for the all you can eat special. But I have never had a bad meal here.

This used to be a family favorite, a treat we’d get about once a month. I’m not sure who decided to try and fix what wasn’t broken, but the sauce and bread changes were uncalled for. Fettuccine is milky and flavorless, same with the red sauces, & the new garlic butter leaves a lot to be desired. The new bread is at least decent, but we won’t be back.

Strolled in around 6pm on a Monday night, exhausted from work.. Wanted some spaget. From what I remember roughly 6 years back the sauce was less than terrible, the store was dingy never looked like they cleaned, just felt really gloomy. This time however was a better experience!I asked the owner if I could sample his sauce. Reluctantly after slightly rolling his eyes down at me, I was allowed to slurp the sauce. It wasn't salty this time!Whatever he did to improve the sauce worked. The soda machine was out of c02 so the drinks were flat, but the manager gave me a 2 liter to make up for it. Thanks for that by the way. :)I got the bucket and bread, spent close to $20. A good price for a family of four. I am that family of 4.Never change the garlic bread recipe. It's perfect. Next time I'm in there I'll just have to order 10 pounds of garlic bread and call it a day. 5 stars

If you have never had an Uncle Louie sandwich I highly recommend it. Be sure to ask what is on it if you don't like certain things.

Food was cold, as if they didn't thaw and heat it correctly out of the box it probably comes in. My fiancee found a hair in her spaghetti. Highly recommend not eating here.

VISITED THE 1869 E Sangamon Ave, Springfield, IL 62702 RESTAURANT ON 6/9/21 AT ABOUT 2 PM. FOR THE WEDNESDAY SPECIAL. ON THE POSTED MENU ON DISPLAY, IT INDICATED $6.99 WEDNESDAY SPECIAL. WHEN I ORDERED, THE PRICE CAME UP AT $7.49. TOLD THE NEW EMPLOYEE WHO WAS ATTENDING ON HER FIRST DAY THAT THIS WAS NOT CORRECT AS THE POSTED MENU INDICATED $6.99. SHE DID NOT KNOW HOW TO CHANGE THE PRICE. TWO COOKS CAME OUT AND DID NOT KNOW HOW TO VOID THE ORDER. THE OWNER WAS IN THE PARKING LOT. WHEN HE CAME IN HE INDICATED THAT THE PRICES WENT UP BUT HE DID NOT WISH TO HAVE A "JANGY LOOKING MENU WITH THE CHANGED PRICE". HE INDICATED THAT THE PRICE WENT UP DUE TO COST OF LIVING INCREASES. HIS ACTIONS WERE INHOSPITABLE, TO SAY THE LEAST. HE DID NOT OFFER TO CHANGE THE PRICE TO THE PRICE AS LISTED AS THE MISTAKE WAS HIS. FURTHERMORE, THE SPAGHETTI CAME IN UNAPPETIZING ALUMINUM SERVING TRAY AND THE GARLIC BREAD WAS NOT TOASTED. i USUALLY MAKE A ROUND TRIP OF ABOUT 9 MILES TO DINE AT THIS SHOP REGULARLY BUT WILL NOT ATTEND ANY MORE. I WILL ALSO CONTACT MY ASSOCIATES TO RELAY THIS INFORMATION TO THEM TO AVOID THIS SHOP, UNLESS I HEAR BACK FROM THE OWNER.

Usually pretty good but today got the Ravioli. Totally disappointed. Metal bowl wasn't even half full for me or the wife's. We thought well the bread will fill us up. Wrong!! It was to hard to even eat. Previously had got the Mascosholli and it was always good. Guess I need to stick with what I know and not try to experience the whole menu. Need to add this was the one on South 6th

The employee was doing something on a computer when I first walked in and he completely ignored me. Then rather than helping me he proceeded to make a phone call and continued to ignore me. Two other customers walked in behind me and after he finally got off the phone he started to help them and when I stated that I was there first he proceeded to curse me out using extremely foul language and told me never to come back............ For some reason this does not allow me to respond, your general manager at your 6th Street store has my phone number if you would like to speak to me about the incident.
