This Wednesday. 1/14/2026 at lunch. Right around Noon. I went to lunch with my parents at Trade Winds. I had only eaten Trade Winds once, I ordered takeout. This was my first time eating at the restaurant. I ordered a Tenderloin sandwich with fries. When it arrived it looked THICK. I've had fried porkchops as fried tenderloin before. I didn't really care. I just wanted lunch, didn't care that it was a fried porkchop. So I took a bite, it was chewy, like really chewy. My 2nd or 3rd bite was a large hunk of fat, or so I thought, it was very very hard to chew. I'm thinking it must be pork steak, which should never be turned into a tenderloin due to the fat content. At this point my mom makes the observation that the visible parts of my tenderloin that are now visible from my bites look pink or red. I investigate and what I found turned my stomach. It was raw. Like red and rubbery raw. Pork turns white when you cook it, this was far from white. Even the surface of the pork was pink. I almost puked right there. I got the waitresses attention. I informed her that my food was raw. She took it and asked if I wanted anything else. I was about to puke so I declined. When we got the check. I was told that they took off my meal and added a discount to my parents food. I advised her that she should comp the entire meal due to serving me RAW MEAT. She declined. I then informed her that if she didn't I would be posting about this online. Pork MUST be cooked to temperature because it often has parasites... This is dangerous and against food safety. Trade Winds thought it would be better business to charge us for our food, instead here I am posting about it. Is $20 worth the bad publicity? Maybe I should go to the health department? I really don't want anyone else to go through this. I now have to worry about having parasites due to eating raw pork. Trade Winds, you guys should be ashamed of how this was handled.

This place did not appear to be sanitary, the restroom was pretty nasty as a clue. The wall I was waiting for my wife to get out of the bathroom. I witnessed a young man preparing food in the kitchen with his pants being held up by his belt below his junk, Essentially standing there in his underwear, preparing food. I’m normally pretty low standard kind of guy, but that was not acceptable. We turned and left..

The food was very good but after sitting down we noticed flies everywhere and on all napkins and the drink station, etc. all I could think about was the flies being on the food in the kitchen. You could tell this place needs a huge deep clean. I also overheard that “no one comes here anymore” or something of the sort. I think if this place tried to get the flies a little more under control with fly traps or soooomething and did a deep clean, it would have a chance. It’s a shame because the food is really good but I don’t think I’ll go back. It just kind of gave me the ick. I hate to leave a bad review especially about a local place but the owners and other patrons need to know.

Maybe it was bad day for them as they had someone out, but they were out of several options. Our appetizer came at the same time as our food. Part of the appetizer was dark like they had been redropped in the oil to warm them up. We both had a horseshoe, and the cheese was lukewarm and the fries tasted like they had been sitting. The hamburger fine, we just did not care for them as they were very well done. The bartender was our server and she was very nice and tried to keep up with everything, but it was obvious she was overwhelmed. If not for her our experience probably would have been rated lower.

Fun relaxed place to have lunch or dinner. Great service and reasonable prices. We had a party of 8 and were seated and served immediately.

A great quick plate a food that's a fair price. Tucked away behind Knights Action Park, it's a nice spot that will leave you full. Horseshoes m ponyshoes are divine.

We’ve been here several times. It’s been good and bad, My wife is a vegetarian, and the menu is limited. She usually gets grilled cheese with tomato and fries. I often order a burger or cheeseburger with fries because they have been out of what I’ve want. When the place is about half full, the noise level makes conversation difficult.
