First time trying Travelers Kitchen, I order Jollof Rice and Yassa Onions. Got something basic to see if it’s authentic Senegalese cuisine. & I must say hats off to the chef! The rice was fluffy and packed with flavor, while the yassa onions elevated the dish to a whole new level. I’ll definitely be back to explore their vegetarian options!

This place is truly a hidden gem! We got the fufu and veggie based egusi but added chicken along with fufu and goat peppered egusi. Both were outstanding! I encourage you to go support this small business! We will be returning!
Dietary restrictions: They have a sign showing to tell the server when placing your order about any allergies, to better serve you
Kid-friendliness: I brought my 14 yr old daughter and I was a wonderful experience. 10 out of 10 recommend!!

Why showing up open and it’s not true I don’t understand how you can charge somebody say the food will be ready at 8.01 and when I got there it’s close all dark now am hungry with nothing to eat when I could have spend that money somewhere else this is just ridiculous now tomorrow what excuses is going to be I don’t care to hear it if y’all not open don’t let orders go thru period. Am beyond piss right now
I've never eaten at this restaurant and unsure how a post from me got on here, but I never rated it.
I went here for the first time yesterday and I will be back. I had the Benachin Chicken (jollof rice) and I also got the peanut butter soup meal for later. The chicken was so tender and tasted great. The rice was seasoned well. The star for me is the Peanut Butter soup! It is so delicious! it has a nice kick and the seasoning is nice. The beef in the soup is tender as well! I can't wait to try their other dishes!
Waited 15 to be told they were out of basic foods.

My biggest issue is the items ring up at prices higher than the menu board. It's an electronic menu board; if you need to raise your prices, update the menu board. That can't take more than 15 minutes. Don't show a customer they will pay one price, then covertly ring it up at another price. That is dishonest and very off-putting.
I won't presume to rate the food since I don't know what authentic African food should be. I give them the benefit of the doubt that they know what it should be and are preparing and serving it that way. For my personal taste, I found it to be too salty, and the vegetables to be way overcooked to the point of almost mush. Maybe that is what they were aiming for.
Service was mediocre. We were the only people in the restaurant. We waited quite a while at the front register to order. The guy was in the back. He knew we were there, but kept saying, just a minute. He was finishing something up I suppose. No big deal, but it was a lot longer than you'd expect to keep someone waiting. Time for food to come to the table was fine.
We experienced it. Glad we did, but not interested in returning.

Fantastic food, great flavors, very friendly. You should definitely come here and experience real flavors. I was tired of going to chain restaurants and everything tasting the same so I decided to come here. I'm so glad I did I highly recommend.
