This establishment is an oasis of perfectly seasoned and textured food. In a region of bland and uncultured food, this restaurant is a beacon of hope for anyone who is tired of the same old slop you commonly find in central Illinois. I drive an hour out of my way to come here on my way to Chicago just for the beef doner and baklava. Very clean building and nice staff.
What a treasure—this was the best Turkish food I’ve had outside of Turkey. The kebab and Mecver plate—a vegetarian patty—were outstanding, especially with the garlic yogurt sauce and red onion salad (more like a pickle accompaniment). Highly recommend!
