The macchiatos and Mexican hot chocolates are to die for!! Rich flavorful coffee in a true St. Charles environment. It is a bit overpriced.

This tranquil and inviting coffee shop is nestled in the heart of St. Charles. I found the hot Chai Tea to be a thoroughly enjoyable selection.

I always frustrate myself at Arcedium. They have good coffee and tea, but ruin their pastries by warming them in a microwave. Microwaving pastries ruins the pastry texture.

The atmosphere is inviting and we intended to stay. The coffee (Americano) was good and I could tell care was taken in the roasting process. For a quick stop coffee, this isn’t bad. However, I tend to go to coffee shops with the idea of relaxing and enjoying my coffee. The space is designed for this sort of thing, but then I discovered that all coffee is served in disposable to-go cups. This of course is frustrating from the waste aspect, but also isn’t congruent with the atmosphere created here. Additionally, no proper cappuccino should ever be served in a to-go cup and I have to assume this is how their espresso would be served as well?! For a place that puts so much care and attention to serving their own roasted beans, they fumble at the one yard line and completely ruin whatever excitement was anticipated when walking in, hence, we took our to go coffees and left.

I live their paninis and breakfast bagels. Thanks for a great experience. Espresso also makes every trip in worth while. I love popping in and getting some work done on my Mac with a little snack.

I hate they only give you paper cups to go, even if you stay in. Americans didn’t figure out yet how amazingly different good coffee taste out of a real ceramic mug.

The coffee it self is good.
It’s a bit dark inside the cafe but overall good vibe.
If only they would have real mugs !

They really take their coffee seriously here!!! Roasted in-house beans, quality machines, and experienced baristas. It was very busy when I went, and the staff was super friendly and personable. I would definetely come back and would enjoy trying the rest of their menu.

Good coffee, cute shop and the best cinnamon roll this side of the Mississippi

A bit shocked as a longtime barista myself to see that the teabags are closed with staples and put into the hot water. Not only is this a physical safety hazard, but the metal from staples are not food safe. Drinks were good but will not be coming back
