We like Capriotti sandwiches since we had locations when we lived in Las Vegas. Was happy to hear there was one in St. Charles (we live in Yorkville), but the 2 times I stopped by when I was in the area they were not open on a Sunday though they should have been based on the hours online. After reading some other reviews it is a shame if they end up closing because it seems like they are never open.

I had to write this after seeing all the negative reviews. The food is good, and the family who owns this franchise are very nice. Heres what you all may not know, and want to think about before bashing them. This was opened by a husband and wife a few years ago. Long story short, the husband tragically passed away which left the wife and daughters on there own. They closed for quite awhile. She rebounded, and reopened with only her and her daughters running the place and making all the food. She was hit with alot of obstacles that were overwhelming. Such as needing thousands of dollars in new equipment, problems with the building and many other maintenance related things. The poor woman was a cook, her husband was the one who took care of those things. She tried hard to get it done to keep her and her late husbands dream alive. My guess is things got to expensive, and too much out of her realm yet again. Obviously a brief overview. The moral of this story though. Think before you complain. Some of these places, even with large chain names. Are franchisees, with maybe just 1 or a couple of stores. They are small business, family owned using a franchise agreement. And honestly all you really get from that is the name. So maybe think about everything this family has endured over the last few years trying to make it, before you complain about not being able to eat a sandwich when you want.

Everything here is good both in food and service. Finest pastrami I ever had. My only complaint is that every time I’m craving their food the location seems to be closed.

Mediocre at best, and super expensive. First time they made or gave me the wrong sandwich when I was very clear which one I wanted in person. Tried 2 other times and I probably won’t go back.

Been trying to call to place an order for several days. Haven't been able to get through. There is nowhere to leave a message and the phone prompt says order online. I go online and the website says call the store. Extremely disappointed. I used to live in Vegas and get Capriottis a few times a month. I was excited to hear they have a location close ish to me in Illinois but disappointed that I can't seem to get a hold of them. I was willing to make a bit of a drive to get a Bobbie for Thanksgiving but I guess not.

Tried to go there at 1PM on a Wednesday and it was closed with UPS stickers on the door. So wondering if they are closed permanently or I just showed up on the wrong day???

Why is this place closed like 90% of the week? They’re only open for like five hours only on Sunday. The rest of the week it’s closed. The only reason this isn’t a one star review is because, when you can get in, the food here is amazing. But this isn’t a good look on the restaurant if it’s never open. They might as well just close permanently at this point

I wish this place wasn't having issues with keeping staff. Capriottis is truly a Hidden Gem with one of the best cheesesteaks i've ever had. I could eat it daily.

The food is amazing, but on several occasions (3-4 times which I’ve only tried to go about a dozen times since they’ve opened) they have been closed during dinner time. We love coming here, but it never ceases to amaze me how they are not open. We often joke about how they are probably going to be closed when we get there… once again today closed for repairs… I hate giving a bad review, I hope the management sees this and understands how disappointed we get.

A great sandwhich shop like no other this place is way superior to the danfwhich chains and this is not a chain. Great pizza sandwhich and most of the menu looked tasty and again what makes this place rock is it is unique and locally owned this place kicks a*** I was really glad I discovered this place on north avenue

The place is chaotic and unorganized. Took 40 minutes to receive our order that consisted of 2 chicken sandwiches. Sandwiches weren’t worth the hype. Will not be returning

I used to live in Vegas before so I know Capriotti’s sandwiches. They are from the west coast. From the Philly Cheese Steak to the Bobi and the Italian. Was blown away that one was in St Charles, IL. I’ve visited this location a handful of times. The service was always great, the experience was always great. Till a year went by and they always seemed to change hands. The store was closed for two months, then a new owner took over. Then they would open again for a few months. Then they would close again. Went last October, low and behold opening soon. What is with this location changing hands all the time? I don’t get, you are not going to make it in Illinois. Very disappointed.
