We came because the reviews were good and wanted to try Ramen. We were with two young kids. After an hour waiting for our food to come out the hostess notifies us the cook walked out. The food came out cold and noticed our waiter was now the cook who clearly had no idea what he was doing. Series of unfortunate events but won’t be having Ramen anytime soon.

This was my second experience with the first one being decent. I was hoping to get the Bento Box but they have a new menu as of Monday. It was still listed on their website and Uber Eats but their manager refused to budge even if they could accommodate it so I was pretty flustered.
The chef was nice and friendly but the waitress didn’t seem very attentive. The wonton soup was very oily, salty and left a nasty aftertaste. The wontons itself were not tasty and gelatinous. I ordered the shumai it was cold in the middle and I handed it back to them to warm up. I figured they come back to apologize about it but they said nothing and returned with it warmed up an extra minute after. That was an expensive meal ($30) and experience I can’t return back to them. Best of luck.

The lovely waitress got us water while we waited for our take out food which was really nice. We got the white miso ramen and the pork was great, the noodles tender but the broth was very salty. We also got the rainbow roll and salty it was terrible. There was a weird ground/minced paste-like spread on top of it that we couldn’t really identify and the sushi as a whole was hard and bland like it has been sitting a long time. Maybe it was because we came in close to closing time?

I did not get to eat here. After sitting and spending a few moments reviewing the menu. I tried to order some sushi and was told, they are out of sushi. sushi is in the name of this restaurant and they have no sushi...

The food was good it just wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Their mild ramen is still way too spicy for my taste, too, and I feel that was what threw off my full rating. Other than that, I loved that the kids get little yogurts rather than milk or apple juice, and it was complementary. The server was also very attentive and did make sure we were dining well.
Kid-friendliness: Yes very much and so nice with their complimentary drink for the kids which was a Japanese yogurt.

Ordered three different types of sushi rolls, completely out of salmon and shrimp and scallops at 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday. Spicy tuna basically only ingredient available is a chopped light pink color with added mayo or something?? Probably our fault, going to a ramen place for sushi, but based on other recommendations I thought we'd give it a try. Missing SUSHI DIVA ? BASH and MOTO IMOTO are good was hoping for a Sushi Diva equivalent. Looking for suggestions.

Ordered the King Shimp, Blue crab ,lobster ramen with broth. The shrimp was small and the lobster had the taste of ammonia. My water had a very bad taste. My partner’s water was fine. The restaurant was very dark and cold. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We will not be going back. Too bad we love ramen

The matcha tea had many of the pearls uncooked. The beef ramen had no sliced meat like in the image. It was ground meat and mostly onion.

Chicken ramen was mediocre. The noodles were too firm wasn’t cooked properly; the broth was oily.
The kitchen staffs are clueless about what is in their kitchen I ordered the chicken kaarage curry then they told me they’re out of white rice and asked me if fried rice will be okay I said sure later I overheard they also out of fried rice I was furious and canceled my order.
This location is terrible if you want quality food go to the des Plaines location

I had a highly disappointing experience at this restaurant. My order took 20 minutes longer than promised, and the miso soup portion was less than half of what it should have been. The tuna roll tasted like it came straight from a can, and the wasabi was pre-packaged in a plastic bag. The rainbow roll only had salmon and shrimp, so it was misleading to call it a rainbow roll. To top it off, the other rolls were poorly made and kept falling apart. For $100, I expected much better quality, but not a single dish was enjoyable. I won’t be ordering from here again.

Ive been to 2 other Chicago Ramen spots and this had the best service and atmosphere by far.
I tried the king of sea tsukemen. As its own thing it was just ok, not bad, not amazing.
I was really hoping for a fishy pork tsukemen (tonkatsu gyokai?) and what I got wasn't that. I wouldn't order it again and its unfortunate that this location doesn't do their normal menu because I would be back at this convenient location so often for their normal tsukemen. (Or gyokai, but I can dream)
Hopefully they'll move this menu to one of their northern locations where there are more nearby options!
