The restaurant was awesome!! My family and I were in town for a funeral and were recommended by our Aunt to eat here and we absolutely loved it! The food was phenomenal!! We are from South Dakota and wish we had a colonial Cafe where we live!! Dave Le was amazing and definitely was patient and knew his stuff!! Well done young man!! Great food fantastic service! Definitely will come back if we ever get back to St Charles again!!
Super menu. Super service.
Chix & Waffles is fantastic. Avocado toast is the best.

Very nice, and interestingly historical restaurant. Very good food, nice and friendly service (Thank you Magda). Lots of tables to choose from, several rooms including one , with museum because this restaurant houses an ice cream museum which is very interesting. The decoration also made a good impression on me because you can see many photos of this restaurant from years gone by and it is worth emphasizing that it has existed since 1901. Generally, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Stopped in for lunch, we were visiting the area for the day. Charming place with much history. Staff was friendly and a good variety to the menu. I had the chicken noodle soup and half sandwich combo. Delicious! When we are in the area we will definitely be back and try the ice cream!

Inviting, comfortable atmosphere if you are not surrounded by loud, big groups of people during the breakfast hour. Delicious comfort food. Large portions for breakfast/ brunch. Classic American portions and (big) menu! It was surprising that the server attempted to seat small groups multiple times all the way in the back where it was very loud and crowded.... Yikes. Groups in the back consisted of 10+ people! There were several attempts made until diners themselves appeared to request different seating like in the main dining room (where there were more appropriately-sized tables and a quieter atmosphere!). The server was kind, but very busy. She appeared to rush us but was not rude. She also disappeared for a bit when we wanted our check. ...On a good note, I liked the background history of the place with all the pictures and info in the menu.

Everything was going well until I found some kind of plastic lid in my food! I asked my waitress and she could not give me an answer, she just refunded my money. Never going back and I hope I don’t end up in the hospital!! Wish me well guys!!
