We hit traffic and were late for our reservation but they were still friendly and accommodating. Food was great! A bit pricey for what it is, but I think that's everything these days.
I have been to the St. Charles IL location twice in the past few weeks. The first time my food was delivered cold and last night was national burger day, which you advertised, I don't eat red meat so I asked for a chicken burger, which they said was sold out at 5:15 in the evening. How do advertise something and not have it. I did get my meal comped both times it's just very disappointing when you expect much more from this establishment.
We had the Mahi sandwich along with the Shanghai short ribs and both were fantastic! Server was attentive throughout our time...just wonderful!
I love the Cooper's hawk in St Charles! We had the best service and amazing food and drink!
The service was subpar. It took approximately an hour for a food to arrive and when I did, it was cold I specifically asked our waitress not to put avocado on my salad as that I'm allergic to it and when the salad arrived, it was front and center I believe this will be our last visit to Cooper's Hawk.
My husband and I went there for our Anniversary, and all in all it was amazing! I really enjoyed my Cosmo, and dessert was on the house! Our server was very attentive and friendly. My Salmon was prepared good, but it was a little fishy! My husbands Grouper was really good, along with his steak!
Went there on Labor Day for lunch with a group of 5 Two diners got shortrib risotto, one got seafood rissoto, one got the grouper, and one got crusted chicken. Seafood risotto was unseasoned, shrimp and scallop were small, overcooked, and the rice was not creamy. The grouper was good, but the asparagus was bland, and the potatoes were just OK. The shortrib risotto was good according to the diners, as was the crusted chicken. Total bill was $250 with with no alcoholic drinks ordered. Service and setting were very good, but the food was lacking and VERY overpriced.
We waited 10 minutes for our slotted reservation time to sit and then another 15 minutes at the table before anyone even acknowledged us. Not even a glass of water. At this point we decided to leave. A birthday dinner for my partner gone horribly wrong.
We love the food. The service was good but the noise level was very high. I do not know how you decrease noise in a full restaurant.
Excellent restaurant. Food is very good and a great selection of wines. Sometimes gets a little noisy depending on groups nearby. But will continue to eat here and highly recommend this location!

Enjoyed an evening with family to celebrate a birthday. Couldn't have been a happier occasion.
The food was very good. It was a little louder in the restaurant than expected, but nothing we couldn't handle. We had gluten free shrimp appetizer - the shrimp came with guacamole which didn't really match. The gluten free torte for dessert, was good. Extremely dense and fudgie. The filet was amazing paired with grilled broccoli and Mary's potatoes. We had a discounted coupon so we splurged with the filet There are expensive items on the menu, but there's some reasonable priced items as well.
I've dined at Cooper's more times than I can count, and the food has always been great. This time, however, was a bit different. We waited about 30 minutes for our appetizer (the manager did stop by to apologize), which wasn't a huge issue. I usually order the same meal every visit, so I expected the same quality I've grown used to. Unfortunately, my salmon was overly salty, and the mashed potatoes were drenched in what seemed like butter, making them inedible. Aside from the long appetizer wait and my disappointing meal, the service itself was excellent.
They were so busy that service was a bit slow. Our server was great, but it took a long time to get food and wine.
Cooper's Hawk in St. Charles is one of our top go-to places for great dining (and wine tasting!) Just had dinner this past weekend and if this is your first time, you MUST try the lettuce wraps. They are to die for. I think my wife and I can have these just for dinner, they are amazing. Roberta, our server, was amazing and was great with the wine pairing recommendations. We tried the special which was a shrimp dish and it was great. I don't think we ever had a bad meal here ever. One thing to warn in advance, it's seems always busy there, so reservations are a must or you will probably be waiting a long time. That is half of the story since they also have wine tastings. We often go just for those. If you are lucky, you will have Dan as the wine tender (or what ever you call a wine bartender) His expert knowledge and witty conversation makes for such a great evening. We have friends that join us and it's so much fun when he's behind the bar! The only bummer part is it's often so busy, it can be hard to even get a spot at the bar. We are not the only ones in the area love this place.
