We went here today because my daughter really wanted Mexican food after enjoying Scarecrow Fest. My brother looked this place up, so we decided to give it a try. We did not get any alcoholic drinks so I can’t comment on their bar selections. We started with the complimentary salsa and ordered the chili con queso. The salsa was good, and the queso was excellent. But when the meals came, I was less than impressed. I ordered the a burrito that was basically just meat and beans and was topped with cheese. When I asked for hot sauce, my options were Tabasco and Cholula. (Spelling that wrong). Most “authentic” Mexican restaurants have their signature hot sauces so I was surprised they did not. My daughter got the steak tacos and she said she enjoyed them. My other daughter got a steak burrito, that she said, “Hit the spot” We ordered the flan for dessert which was okay. I would say this is a subpar Mexican restaurant. You can tell it has a following, but I wonder if these people have ever been elsewhere. That being said, the service was excellent! Our server was very attentive with drink refills and asking how everything was, and the atmosphere was fun! I would go back and sit at the bar, maybe have a couple margaritas and an appetizer or two, but I don’t think I’d eat a meal here again.

Worst “burrito” ever. Asked for a veggie burrito (as most restaurants do it) and specifically said, beans, rice, sour cream, tomatoes and avocado. What even is this? Ordered other burritos and it was just as bad.

Absolutely disgusting burrito never seen a burrito. Look like this from any Mexican restaurant. All the owner needs to do is go to another Mexican place look at what their burrito looks like and copy that and they wouldn’t get this.

Terrible food, chips were stale, the salsa was like spaghetti sauce, I love Mexican food but now realized it could be royally messed up. Please avoid this place, my partner fell sick eating their chicken.

Not sure what happened but I came back and was quite disappointed. The drinks were still very good though. Service was wonderful, so I hate writting this. My fajitas had zero flavor, the shrimp was not cleaned. The enchiladas de mole, had way too much chocolate flavor to them.Sadly I will not be returning.

Ordered the steak fajitas and they came out luke warm and extremely fatty and not flavorful. Service was also very slow - definitely not going back!

We’ve been to your restaurant many times, we stopped in on Friday the 22nd, we ordered 2 steak tacos each and a margarita, I did not enjoy my margarita and instead ordered a coke, there was something about the taste that was off and I usually have 2. the steak seemed very dry and was served on just 1 tortilla. Even though I did not drink the margarita I was charged for it, and it’s why I deducted half of the cost from my tip…. Another thing, charging 3% for using credit cards is ridiculous. We will think twice about coming to your establishment in the future.

Chicken fajitas were fine but it had lots of onions which made it bit sweet.

Excellent food. The guacamole and salsa are really good while you wait for your food, and you get your meal quickly. Great service as well.

My family and I have been ordering here for about five years. Generally we carry out but, they have a great looking bar and a large dine in area as well. This is our go to Mexican restaurant in the Fox Valley. The staff is always polite and our order is always correct and the food is ALWAYS hot when you get home. Chips and salsa are great and the Longe Tacos are a must. Lots of great options in Saint Charles for restaurants but, this is for sure a favorite.

El Puente is a great Mexican restaurant in St. Charles. The food was cooked perfectly with great flavor and prompt service. In addition to their great food, they have great margaritas.
