Ambience was ok, food needed seasoning, server was ok, but the food for the children took 45 min and we were not asked if we wanted other beverages besides water.
Stopped in after a performance at Pheasant Run Theatre based on the website stating it was opened until midnight. Walked in about 10:20 seated ourselves only to be told the kitchen was closed. A waitress got the manager on duty for November 23, 2019 who was completely rude and unapologetic when she was told the website didn’t specify the kitchen closed at 10pm. She says “well yea it does”! I informed her we had never been there and in all honesty based on that we will NEVER return to this restaurant or Pheasant Run Resort if they’re going to have people like this working there.
Terrific service. Great family atmosphere.
I Ate here with a friend for the first time yesterday and will not be back. We were seated in a dirty booth that was not cleaned properly. The waitress took a very long time to come to our table to take our order. I ordered a white wine and water and she gave me a red and no water. It took her awhile before she came back to the table the 2nd time for me to ask for the water. The table next to us was seated after us and was given their food before us. (We ordered a Turkey club and a salad). The food was mediocre as best, definitely not worth the long wait. After finishing our food it took the waitress over 25 minutes to come to our table to give us our checks and process them. Another waitress came to our table to process them because of how long she was taking. The place itself looks dingy, most of the chairs are ratted, torn and dirty. I'm not surprised that people in older reviews mention roaches.
Sadly, I expected more. The calimari was over cooked. So was the fried shrimp. The gumbo and jambalaya was bland. Not much more \"creole\" than that. Service was adequate. Just wanted to see more options and spice.
Food was good. Some of the plates on the buffet had spots, but other than that, everyone in our group enjoyed the food and had a good time.
If I could rate less than one star I would. The service was absolutely horrible. The waitress never checked on us. Basically threw my drink down on the table and walked away. The food was bland and tasteless, much like the waitress. The best part of the meal was the water. Will never eat here again.

Great Service, Friendly Staff. I enjoyed my meal. the decor could use some updating but that wouldn't stop me from coming back again.
Me and some friends came here for dinner before going to the comedy club next door and I wasn't too impressed. After we were seated it took a while to get someone to come over for our order. I decided to go with the friday fish fry and my husband got the gumbo. My fish was cold and very dry and it took a while for our server to come back so I wound up just eating off of the salad bar. My husband seemed to like his gumbo, he said it wasn't the best he's had but it wasn't too bad. The New Orleans theme and the mock burbon street outside of the restaurant was cool. Maybe we came on a bad day but I probably will not be eating here again.

A reviewer two months ago reported a roach and the management claimed they were calling pest control. Well, I hope you have them on speed dial. We were there last night and so were the roaches. Absolutely disgusting. Don't waste your money going here---unless you would like some new pets!!! We will never go back. One star is too many for the roachmotel.
The fist time we visited the fish (all you can eat) was soo good👠and the salad bar and bread pudding was absolutely incredible! Went to second time the fish was not available because of another big event happing that Friday so we ordered the cod it was it was okay they didn't charge us extra for the salad (side salad was soo soo) third time never again the 13.99 all you can eat was Horrible fried too hard tasted watery inside, the salad was what we expected either no pecans and orther garnish like the first time😒 the bread pudding however, is still absolutely wonderful👠since we live in Aurora we will not be making that Friday Fish Fry drive but we will return to Zanies and Pheasant Run for other events.
Went with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday. MISTAKE! The food was horrible! NOTHING like New Orleans! To top it off, as we were preparing to leave a ROACH crawled up the wall from behind the booth we were sitting in! I will NEVER go back!
Good grub, priced reasonably and portioned generously. Table of 15, zero complaints.
Nice quiet place, good calamari, and nice semi sweet signature cocktails. Service was good and prompt. Good options for kids.
