Such a cute interior! Play area for kids, fireplace to relax by, windows overlooking the river. I was pleasantly surprised, much larger inside than I thought. Happy to finally try this coffee shop out. I only got coffee, but the food I saw looked delicious!

I eat here when on bike trips on the Fox River. Today I had “Bowl Me Over” without bacon. Especially enjoyed the sweet potato with the included sour cream. Have always had a good meal and coffee here.

Fantastic little cafe. Ever since Maple Leaf Coffee Roasters bought them out, the coffee is even better. The food is great. The atmosphere is so nice. In a world where cafes like to blast loud music for some reason, it's nice to have a silent oasis where I can drink my coffee and read a book.

Had a very special time there with family and friends. The staff are so nice and have excellent service. The place is really cool ? with nice atmosphere. The food was good and nicely displayed but the beef was a little bland and pricey. All in all a wonderful place and I do recommend it.

Only been here once and that was enough. When you walk in, it looks like a small janky take and go coffee shop. But if you walk around the narrow hallway towards the back, it opens up to a large room with multiple tables and I think I saw a fireplace in there too. The atmosphere is a little weird, I don't recall any ambient music playing, everyone was very quiet - reminded me of being in a library. They have a small area with tiny tables for little kiddos, that was kind of neat, but not a lot of space for adults to sit around there so a little useless in my opinion. We took our coffee to the outdoor area which has a few tables. Tables are kinda nasty and old looking out there. TONS of spiders and spider webs everywhere.The coffee was nasty, I'm just going to be blunt. I got an iced latte if I recall and it wasn't good. My cousin tried one of their specialty drinks - rose flavored iced coffee - didn't taste like much of anything.I've heard a rumor that this place is being bought out by a new owner. Hope they make some much needed renovations to the inside and improve the coffee. For now, just give your money to Starbucks instead.

My friend and I tried this place for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised. From the out side, it seems like a small place, but the place wrapped around to lovely views of the fox river to a very nice size sitting area! The menu serves vegan, special diet, and yummy regular brunch favorites ❤️ We Will certainly be back here and I would recommend this place to everyone! The staff was very friendly and we had a wonderful time here!
Vegetarian options: They have a whole menu towards vegan or vegetarian needs and a separate menu for those who like to eat unrestricted. They have wonderful drink options too

Just moved to the area and have been visiting local cafes/coffee shops and Kava Diem did not disappoint!My experience at Kava Diem was exceptional! Although some of our order was incorrect, the staff was very quick to correct any issues. The staff were also very friendly and treated my little ones so kindly. As others have mentioned, there is a little kid play area, which my girls loved. The views of the Fox River from inside and outside are beautiful. It was very clean and spacious indoor seating area and had a very calm vibe. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a bite to eat, a cup of coffee, a calm space to do work, or to sit, relax, and enjoy views of the river. Will definitely be coming back.

I ordered an eggie veggie sandwich and an avocado toast. The sandwich came out and no avocado toast. The lady took the metal order number and left. I had to go to the counter and ask for it. The avocado toast, though tasty, was soggy. The sandwich was very light on egg. I also ordered a vanilla latte and received it iced. I assumed it would be hot. Nobody asked. I left a decent tip at the time of payment. I wish I could take it back. The price was considerably higher than other premium breakfast restaurants. If it was busy, I could begin to understand. There were only a few tables occupied while the other nearby brunch place was overflowing with a long wait. The rating was why I came here. Unfortunately, it didn’t fit the experience. The upside is the location, right on the Fox river. Beautiful
