The french fries were cold and dry, like they had been sitting around awhile. The cheeseburger was over cooked and burned (the pattie was black). Worst food we've ever had from this location. I don't think we'll be coming back.

This portillos is going down the ppl who work here are not friendly they expect you to know your order no patience whatsoever this place is dirty and has a bad odor the ppl who clean walk around spraying tables and your food this happened to me twice the guy was not paying attention sprayed the table next to us while he was staring at something else sprayed right into our food I was so mad I told him he came over and spilled the rest of the bottle of cleaner on my clothes I told him off and left because no one cares at this place I even tried getting help on the phone to order food they refused to help me and hung up the phone.. the napkin area always dirty no ketchup always low and it’s always dusty this place needs to get it together especially the manager seems like all they do is walk around I don’t like this Portillo’s anymore please beware of this place not good they always mess up your order and the food is looking shabby they tend to forget to give you your sauces and ketchup and the salads are not fresh here they are just plain rude and rushed

Listen, it's still a far cry from DP's original vision of Chicago street food. While I'd like to complement them on menu expansion and "franchise expansion" they are trying to rush a simple formula tried and true. It seems now more than ever, that they are more concerned with trinket expansion than food improvement. Service is still slow, which I could accept, if the food was still on point. Crisp fries are now soggy, orders are repeadly not right, and overall experience is missing the mark. I have hope, and still recommend Portillos to OUT visitors. That said, they can do better.

Come on! Who doesn't love a great Portillos sandwich or dessert. And the team outside want to make you happy. They might be busy. But anyone that's been there knows to expect a few extra minutes. For those new. Enjoy the time, and music and know that the food is outstanding and hot and always fresh.
