This was our third visit to Portofino‘s. We've always had excellent service and food. However, when we dined most recently, our salads came out immediately, but our main entrée took approximately 45 to 50 minutes before we received it. There was a bigger party of eight that arrived after us, and they got their food before us. Our server did not offer an explanation as to what the delay was. We were uncertain whether our order made it to the kitchen or if there was a delay...
Our first time there & we shall return! We had cocktails & carpaccio (so good!), the gnocchi bolognese & the eggplant parmigiana. Servings were generous enough to allow for leftovers to enjoy today. If you like carpaccio, theirs is not to be missed—presentation is a work of art. No room for dessert!
We had the privilege of being served by the owner's son and got to meet the owner/Chef after dinner. Drinks were stellar food was excellent and being a sicilian myself can vouch for the authenticity of the food. Will be making it a regular stop!
