Rox City Grill is located in the historic Hotel Baker along the Fox River. A small intimate lounge open Wednesday thru Saturday offering small bites,extensive martini list and live entertainment starting at 730pm.- 1100pm.Parking is street parking which could be a challenge but there is a lot not too far away.We came on a Saturday night around 930pm. Came in for some drinks with a buddy after a long day. Delicious drinks with friendly service. Ozzie was our bartender and his service towards us was great. I liked the atmosphere with a live jazz band in the background. I will be coming back!
Our meal was fabulous and so was our server, Ozvaldo (Ozzie). Appetizer was fresh sliced tomatoes with buratta, arugula and prosciutto. Excellent. Main course was Chilean seabass, which was buttery, cooked perfectly, and finished with a miso glaze accompanied by steamed bok choy. Absolutely outstanding! And I'm a hard-to-please fish eater and retired chef. Service from Ozzie was friendly without being intrusive. Five stars without question.
