It's unfortunate that such a beautiful space falls so short in every other category. They seem far more concerned with looking good rather than being good.
Let's do this in steps;
1. My family walked into an empty restaurant at 3 pm. No hostess, no wait staff, no bartender. Several min later a server saw us with no hello and no questions she just said "we have outdoor seating as well" in-between doing things at the server station very poorly placed in the same hallway and right outside the bathrooms.
2. Server was cold, not informative, not polite or warm and welcoming in any way and remained so the entire visit.
3. Delivered my father's beer by plunking the bottle down and walking away with no glass to pour it in. Standard in my opinion considering every other restaurant either provides or asks.
4. My wife's burger had a hair in the cheese and the server could not have cared less. When informed she said "would you like us to remake it?" No apology, no informing a manager just so that they were aware what is going on.
5. Menu sucks big time with no "real" dinner options in my opinion. It's all apps and some sandwiches.
6.Food was objectively bland seeming to rely entirely on the sauces It's drowning in for flavor rather than the ingredients. I had the French dip and it was so fatty I couldn't chew large portions of it and so bland that not even the first bite was enjoyable. Coupled with a sloppy and messy presentation.
Manager never stopped by to ask and we never complained. Paid the bill, tipped well and left. We won't be back and I suggest you only go for drinks if at all. There's 100 great restaurants already downtown St. Charles, take your money there.
Save your money and go to any of the 100 better restaurants on Main st

Amazing drinks and an impressive selection of Bourbon. The service was good and the atmosphere both in the restaurant and in the back garden are unique and fun.

Everything was good, except I had made a reservation and my two friends who got there before me, asked to sit in the bar to wait for me and was told by the bartender that they would have to see the hostess and that they could not sit there and then my friend said can I order a drink and he said yes, but you cannot sit here you have to close it out immediately. That really bothered me I don't understand why you can't just walk in and sit at the bar and have a drink. I probably won't go back there for that because there's enough places to go to that. We don't have to worry about someone telling us we can't walk in and sit at the bar to wait for somebody. That's going to arrive in the next five minutes.
Fantastic selection. Great crew on staff. You should eat here.
Super selection at the bar.
Just go.

first time here and will not be back -
Waste of money
- they do not have a host to greet you indoors
- our server took 5-10 minutes to stop at our table to greet us, not very welcoming
- from the moment we put in our food order, the server did not come back once to check on us, offer refills, waters, we had to ask right before food arrived
- food was delivered and server did not come back once to ask how our food was or if we needed any extra napkins, refills etc
- server only came back when it was time for the bill, she was very cold and unprofessional
- I can justify mid food if the service is great, but $23 for a few pieces of shrimp, a sausage and 90% grits, over salted and low quality, over priced drinks
- patio looked nice, ambiance is good
- Whiskey Bend appears to have same owner as the Office, both locations listed on back of menu, look at how the owner responds to negative reviews

We attended a show at the Arcadia and needed a nice, quite place to have a dinner before the show. We chose Whiskey Bend and we were very satisfied with our choice! The cuisine was typical casual dining, but the quality was outstanding. The service was perfect. If your looking for a place to eat before enjoying a show at the Arcadia, this is a good choice for great food, efficient service, and a good value!
Had a reservation but were told the kitchen was behind. But it wasn't just slow, the servers weren't allowed to even submit new food orders for another 30+ minutes. Honestly never heard a restaurant say that you weren't allowed to order. They didn't offer to comp our drinks or anything so we had to finish our drinks and find somewhere else to eat.
First time ever we walked out of a restaurant. Poor service never received our dinner after an hour of waiting. Manager bought us our drinks but was unable to tell us when our food would arrive. At that point it was time to leave.
The ambience was great and the food/drinks were wonderful. However the service was extremely slow. We were seated on the back patio and the weather was perfect. So the place was packed.
The food was outstanding. The server was fantastic. The patio was absolutely full, so we sat inside. The noise level was unbearable. The server told us they were going to address the issue. Until they do, I will be requesting the patio.
