The most disrespectful Starbucks I’ve ever been to. The staff always have an attitude, never greet you when you walk in, and can’t seem to follow simple instructions. Today, I accidentally placed my order for the drive-thru instead of pick-up. I work at Starbucks myself, so I know it’s not hard to take two steps and hand off the drink. I apologized nicely while explaining the mistake, but the employee snatched the drink and said in an aggressive tone, “It’s there because you placed it for drive-thru,” as if I hadn’t just explained that.
While I was waiting, I watched another customer politely ask for a water refill after waiting for a while, and the barista snapped at her with, “Yeah, you can in a minute,” in the same rude tone.
To top it off, I ordered extra caramel drizzle and for the cup to be lined—my drink had none. Customer service isn’t that hard. Stores like this are the reason Starbucks baristas have such a bad reputation.

I had placed a mobile order and it said it would be ready by 11:07 but didn't get done til 11:17

This location is fantastic in every way. I am a bit of a regular and predictable in my order. There have been times when my order is ready before I'm done paying because they saw me coming and knew what I wanted. Attentive and respectful, always cheerful and a pleasure to banter with, the staff here are all wonderful!

Our Starbucks has wonderful people amazing drinks and awesome service. It is a once in a while treat but always kicks off a great day. 🙂

I was at the Sterling location and ordered cold foam for my drink. When I was at the window I noticed there wasn’t cold foam. I told the girl at the window and she checked the receipt and took my drink to correct it. Another girl came back to the window and rudely said, next time order it before you get to the window. I did order it, my daughter confirmed that as well. It was the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had. If they didn’t hear me, and it wasn’t on the receipt, I would of gladly paid for it. I am very understanding working in retail for many years. It was totally uncalled for. I will stick to the Dixon location moving forward.

Service at this location is always great. One thing that I would improve is whenever there are chunks in a drink like the mocha cookie crumble add a straw that would actually work. The regular straw provided doesn't work as the cookies get stuck .

I never post reviews but somethings wrong with this location. Every single time we come through and order lemonade refreshers, they are horrible and it’s been like this for years. Another review said not sure how every other starbucks can get it right and you guys can’t. We even change our size of the drink to see if it’s better and it isn’t. Mine tastes like caugh syrup and i can only imagine what the strawberry tasted like it was super dark! Completely separated not shaken. I’m not sure if it’s the lemonade but something is off every single time and we can’t be losing 13 dollars every time we come to this location. And it’s more expensive than other locations.

Lobby closed at 4:30 and was asked to leave as they locked door because of “widespread” internet issues. Went to Dixon location instead which was open. Much better service in Dixon that apparently was not affected by the “widespread” internet issue that was first announced at 7 am. Simple lack of honesty by the manager.
Had to deal with a very rude "blonde" girl at the window. Who knew it was a crime to place an online order?

Usually they are sooo kind and understanding. Except they have this one employee who whenever I am there practically screams at me! I had this coupon today on my email that said buy one get one free and she yelled at me and accused me of using it already! It is not my fault I get emails!!! I told her I had emails in the past where they offered me a 50% drink but this one was different. She just looked at me like I was the dumbest person ever! She was not willing to help me so I told her Nevermind and went to my car and cried because when someone raises their voice to me I tend to cry. Last time I was there she treated me so dumbly and tried to rush me and just said Yeah Yeah Yeah while I was ordering and even got the order wrong! I highly recommend firing this person at Sterling Il.Starbuck.
I've ordered here several times and every time it's wrong. Ordered a white chocolate mocha and they had to of forgotten the espresso because it tasted like a hot chocolate even after I stirred it up. Today I ordered a hot caramel macchiato and again, no coffee taste. It was weak and watered down. Not sure how Dixon can get it right every time but I will definitely pass the Sterling location to go to Dixon from now on. For how much I spend for a drink, they should make it correctly.
