I went there earlier this year with a friend. The space was decorated beautifully with products from Streator establishments (which I thought was great for the city). The percolated coffee was truly the best I ever had, and it’s served with real cream. The next time I went it was with my husband. I ordered the smoked salmon baguette. It was so well done that I ordered it the next day and picked it up for home. The desserts are spectacular and our server’s personality was friendly and personable. I highly recommend this Streator gem.
My Husband and I stopped by for some breakfast and music. The food was fabulous with high quality and home grown ingredients. It was our first visit and won't be our last. Our server was wonderfully attentive in a classy uniform. We loved that our food was served on beautiful glassware as a nod to Streator. Such a charming restaurant that didn't disappoint with excellent food and appropriate serving sizes. We also enjoyed live music from Jake and Nate on alto sax and cello. Perfect Saturday morning relaxation.

Had I looked at the menu before stopping I would not have stopped, but I stopped, stayed and glad that I did. I'm a creature of habit, having same breakfast whenever I eat out. My girlfriend tells me that I should mix thing up, so I did with this menu. I did the basic dish and it was delicious. I loved the decorations, the atmosphere and the staff.

Locally owned GEM!! My mom ordered the smoked salmon baguette and I had the Portobello Mushroom sandwich with a delectable parmesan basil aïoli. Both were toasted and seasoned to perfection. Portions were seamless. Atmosphere was vibrant with eastern European melodies. Lots of love went into the decor. The chef personally came out to tables to ask how we were. Did I mention that the carrot cake was heavenly? Best I ever had. Sever was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive and friendly. My mom is a local and she was excited to take me here. Highly recommend! Truly one of a kind. Thank you!

This little cafe serves mostly dishes from Croatia and Slovenia, but has other choices as well. We had a traditional sampler of Croatian sausages, along with cheese, salad, bread and relish. All was delicious! We also had a slice of delicious apple strudel and took home a few slices of Potica, a Slovenian nut roll, ro enjoy for breakfast. The atmosphere was very Eastern European and very "homey." The service was excellent, as we were able to chat with our server as well as the owner, Toni. A lively afternoon!
