Don't come here expecting big American portions that give us heart attacks or pre-made cheap restaurant food that helps you to commit the sin of gluttony. The poached eggs were perfect, and the portions with coffee refills were so yummy. Fresh food is filling, and the savoring flavors can be enjoyed in their beautiful CLEAN environment and unique dishware.

We really enjoy going to Good Morning Good Day in Streator. It’s truly a wonderful experience. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is attentive and friendly. Toni the owner came out and visited with us while we were there. Our server Stephanie was a delight and took good care of us. You feel like you are in a small cafe in another land while in there. This is a must try if dining in our town. You will not be disappointed. Their baked goods, too, are delicious. Not your typical offerings. We even had them do some of our baking at Christmas and all of our family loved it. This is our place to go if dining out for breakfast. We still have to try their lunch menu.

The food was great and this place is really nice. The owner has a fantastic attention to detail. Everything is classy in here from the real wood floor from Germany to the dark wood doors of the bathroom. She did this place up just right. I had an excellent sausage and egg strudel that you dip in a homemade gravy and I really enjoyed the side options of fresh fruit and yogurt. It was all very tasty. Her cookies are delicious and so is the pastry I always refer to as a nut roll. It always tastes freshly baked. Our breakfast hit the spot. I heard the coffee is good here too which I’m going to come in and try when I have more time. Definitely stop in and try this place out.

If you are looking for a kind, calm, and inviting dining experience. This is it. In a small Midwest town that majorly lacks food from other cultures, this cafe is a breath of fresh air. I loved it

Toni brings her family’s immigration story and delicious Croatian/Slovenian recipes to this modest town in the most humbling and heartwarming way. Upon arrival, you may sit wherever you want and enjoy the beautiful tables and easy music that makes you feel like you’ve traveled to their home without ever buying a plane ticket. The beauty comes from the family heirlooms, collectibles by Toni herself, each with a unique story worth listening to Toni talk about. I had the joy of conversing with her for a long while as she shared her family’s story. I won’t give it away, come in yourself! She’s so kind. But once you’ve filled your heart, filled your soul with home made pastries and breakfast that will surprisingly leave you satisfied more than any fast food chain ever could. The coffee is light and fresh, the sausage and gravy streudel is incredible with its light and flaky phyllo, and elegant dishes. I was wowed by the Potica’s lightly sweet and slightly nutty flavor. You’ll love this paired with coffee.

I went there earlier this year with a friend. The space was decorated beautifully with products from Streator establishments (which I thought was great for the city). The percolated coffee was truly the best I ever had, and it’s served with real cream. The next time I went it was with my husband. I ordered the smoked salmon baguette. It was so well done that I ordered it the next day and picked it up for home. The desserts are spectacular and our server’s personality was friendly and personable. I highly recommend this Streator gem.
