My go to place for tamales. A half dozen each of green chicken, red pork, and cheese & pepper for the spicy kick. Tasty with a good balance of masa and filling for a reasonable price. They're so good we eat them for every meal until they're gone. Then we deal with the guilt cuz it's not the healthiest food choice, but it's so worth it.
I went for Oaxacan tamales and I loved them from the beginning. I was served by a guy who had the best service. I recommend his delicious tamales. The only thing is that a day before I tried to buy but it was already closed, the hours are not until late.
The guava atole is incredibly delicious.
The tamales aren't bad at all, but I think they need a little more butter to give the texture of the dough.
The flavor of the sauces they add to the tamales isn't bad at all. BUT THE RAJAS AND FRIJOLES TAMALES ARE THE BEST!!! Without a doubt.
We have not tried the Menudo on the weekends, but I heard its really good.
