One appetizer...Bangers and Mash...three different lunches...all excellent. We even took another appetizer home to a sister who couldn't make it. The service was excellent...we weren't rushed and had a perfect time. Definitely a return trip.

The servers are great but the hostess/manager at the front desk is abrasive. She acts like she is doing you a favor by letting you enter and eat.

This is our favorite restaurant but the last two experiences were sadly subpar. The staff is great, but the chicken was gummy and the lettuce had seen its days. Our garlic bread was visibly black. I don’t know what’s going on, I hope they are not struggling. There has been a noticeable decline.

I had the corned beef and cabbage. Not a lot of flavor, potatoes were dry. The beef itself was meh. Was not busy and our waitress went AWOL.

I'm giving "Food" a 3/5 because, in my eyes, they committed the worst possible sin when it comes to Irish dining. Shepherd's Pie and Cottage Pie are BOTH on the menu but the only difference is that one has onions. Come on, guys. Shepherd's Pie has lamb in it, not ground beef.

Not a fan of $2.00 share plate fee charged...gave my 82 year old Mom my soup as I wasn't that hungry, and she don't eat much but that triggered that extra charge, didn't break the bank but thought it wasn't necessary....boo

We had a dinner last night for 25 people in the lovely private party room celebrating my parents 60th wedding anniversary. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We were able to order off the menu which was great. I had the filet and shrimp with double baked potato and it was delicious! The waitress service was excellent and they could not have been nicer! The party room and its size was perfect for our group. Thank you for a great night!

My husband & I visited this restaurant and was sadden by the food and service. The pancakes were doughy and too thick. The eggs were crunchy, well done don’t mean crispy. The hash browns had no tasty/no seasoning. The sausages were squishy as if they weren’t real meat and the orange juice was not freshly squeezed, it was nasty. The waitress was very nice. She went looking for the manager but I think the cook came out. He asked what was wrong with the food. I was hesitant to respond but I did. I told him the pancakes were doughy. He cut me off in a rage & told the waitress to take one of the meals off. He was screaming very loud in the back where the kitchen was saying, “he’s been making pancakes for 40 years, and has never been told his food was not good”. No matter the outcome in a business, you are never supposed to behave in that manner with customers. Save your comments at closing when there aren’t any customers in your establishment. Needless to say, we will never eat there again. The cook needs to contact Gordon Ramsay for restaurant tips & to help make his food taste better. I am sure we aren’t the only people that has complained in his “40 years of making pancakes”. Gordon Ramsey’s show is called,

My wife and I were out looking for a restaurant for breakfast in Friday morning, 9/13, and found the Ashford House. We both ordered pancakes, eggs and sausage. The waitress was very pleasant and the food came out quickly. We both were hungry and dug into the food. We were both shocked as the pancakes tasted, "doughy." The waitress came back around and asked "how was the meal?" I told her I did not like it and she said she would locate the manager. A man came out, and without greeting us, asked what was wrong. I told him I did not like the food and my wife commented that the pancakes were "doughy." Typically, when I've experienced something similar at other restaurants, the manager would apologize and offer a refund. Not in this case. Instead, the man (not sure if he was the owner or manager) got upset, stated that he's been making pancakes for a number of years and never had a complaint. He told the waitress to take one of the meals off of the bill and stormed off as if we offended him. Sure, the food was bad, but the service was 10x worse. Needless to say, we will never, ever visit this place again and I assume this man never visited a restaurant where he disagreed with the food. Shame on the Ashford House for the way my wife and I were treated today. SMH!
