“We visited for the first time Saturday. Had amazing food, drinks, and even better service. Holly was our bartender ,and she was exceptional ! Can't wait to return.”

“We were warmly greeted by Chelsea when we arrived. We were seated at a cozy table toward the back of the restaurant. Frank Sinatra music was playing in the background. Our waitress Melissa brought us water to the table with the days specials. There is a good wine & cocktail selection. We started with the shrimp & calamari along with truffle fries for an appetizer. The shrimp & calamari were cooked perfectly while seasoned with the right amount of oil and garlic. The truffle fries garlic aoli sauce was very good, not overpowering. For dinner, we had chicken parmesan served with penne pasta as the side. The portion size was big. The chicken was cooked well, not overloaded with sauce and the right amount of cheese. The other dish order was the risotto of the day, shrimp & grape tomato. Highly recommend the risotto. It was cooked perfectly with big delicious shrimp mixed in with the risotto. As delicious as it was, room was being saved for dessert. Not many restaurants serve flourless chocolate cake, but Frankie's 1988 does. It is served with a carmel sauce, pecans, and vanilla gelato. I have had many flourless chocolate cakes in my life, and none compare to the one made at Frankie's. It is dense, almost like dark chocolate fudge that just melts in your mouth. They also have canolis, tirimisu, and an assortment of gelato. The staff was so nice, checking on us throughout our dinner, ensuring we were never out of water. Frankie introduced himself to us as we were leaving. We had to tell him how amazing the risotto was today. Frankie said that their kitchen is a scratch kitchen and will gladly make items not on the menu if the kitchen has the ingredients. Frankie's 1988 is a 5 Star restaurant nestled in a strip mall in Tinley Park.Dietary restrictions: Many gluten-free and vegetarian options are available.”

“I had no idea this place existed before this weekend and I’m so glad I found it!! They have a ton of wines on tap and a dozen or so bourbons too. My husband and I are bourbon drinkers and I’ve started to get into wine more so this place was perfect.We did not get a chance to try any of their food as we had just come from dinner.We told the lady that helped us that it was our first time here and she walked us around and explained everything to us. She was very helpful.”

“Fabulous good - such big portions. We had a lovely meal. Best grilled calamari. Had a honey mustard/balsamic drizzle on it. Very tender and tasty. And the long (as opposed to circles) fried zucchini was fabulous!”

“Had a wonderful lunch for a monthly retired teacher group. Joe and Vicki gave us the room in the back. Our meals were fantastic and Paige, our server, was wonderful! We were celebrating a 70th birthday and we were treated to several amazing desserts. The service was above and beyond our expectations. We booked our Christmas party here in December.”

“Found this place recently while searching for somewhere different to go for dinner with my husband. We got there around 7:30 on a Saturday night and got seated right away. The place was decently crowded and they did have dueling pianos as live entertainment. The music was a lot of fun.We were seated away from the stage area so it wasn’t as loud so my husband and I could still hear each other talk.I got a lemon drop martini which was delicious. The bruschetta and meatball appetizer was good. We did enjoy the bruschetta more, the meatballs were ok but not amazing.For dinner I got a fried chicken sandwich, it says you can order it “Nashville hot”. I asked our waitress if it was really hot and she said yes, she offered to bring the sauce on the side. I’m so glad she did! It was good but it was very spicy so less is more with that. Chicken was super juicy. Fries unfortunately were lukewarm and tasted stale. It was busy enough I was surprised they were not fresh.We liked the vibe and will go back.”

My favorite place since one of my Big Bosses invited me here year’s ago but I declined his offer for dinner and drinks. I don’t like mixing business and personal. Keep up the great work!! “I have been here twice the first time was amazing went with a friend of mine at the end of the year to catch up. Food, service just everything was amazing. After that I recommend it to many of my friends. i came here again on the 10th of January for my anniversary and it was extremely underwhelming the bread as always was amazing but when i ordered my lobster and crab fettuccine the seafood was overcooked along with cartilage from what I’m assuming the crab was still in my food along with very small but very noticeable shards of the shell, i told our waitress she said if there was anymore to let her know (i pulled out 2 bits of shell and one strand of cartilage) so i had a few more bites and then i asked to take it home when i got home later the next day i went to re heat it and almost every bite i took had a very small but very hard bits of shell so in the end i threw it away. In the end i left feeling disappointed i hope next time i go the food will be better”

“My husband and I have visited Soundgrowler at least once a month since we moved here a few years ago and have always had a great time! The beer is fantastic, food is delicious, and the staff is always great. I’m not a big metal music fan but they do such a great job creating a whole vibe that I enjoy it! Whenever we have friends and family visit from around the country we bring them to Soundgrowler and they always want to stop by again when they return to the area. Y’all are the best!”

“Very welcoming to non-regulars. We're from out of state for a conference and were looking for a neighborhood bar. Perfect. Staff are quick and very friendly! They even put our MN Wild on TV for us even though 3 Chicago teams are playing tonight. If you're looking for a down home bar, this is a great place!! Didn't eat here but food looks good!”

“I had a private event this past weekend and everything was fabulous. From the moment I showed interest Mary Ann worked with me and was always very responsive. The day of the event the staff was extremely attentive and the food was delicous. I received a lot of compliments about the food and everyone found the atmosphere and history of the Vogt House interesting. Would highly recommend.”

“Beautifully decorated Thai restaurant with excellent martinis.Portion sizes are large. Had drunken noodles with beef and the duck. The duck was delicious but the flavor was a little different than expected last it didn't have crispy skin.Also tried a hot and dirty martini which was perfectly made. The green tea martini was interesting and very good as well.Service was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant.”

“This was our first time coming here. It is located in a strip mall and is smaller than I expected but cozy. We came here tonight to celebrate our son's birthday. Since his birthday fell on Superbowl Sunday, when we arrived, two other families were finishing their dinner, so we had the place to ourselves after they left. With this being said, the service was wonderful! Staff was very attentive and we loved our chef, Andy. I wish I had taken a video of him twirling the spatulas around because he was awesome, engaging, and funny! For appetizers, we ordered sushi and spring rolls. The birthday celebrant ordered filet mignon and lobster, my daughter ordered the chicken and salmon, hubby ordered the steak and lobster, and I ordered the salmon and lobster. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I love my rice, but I especially enjoyed the noodles. To Ryan's wonderful surprise, they brought him fruit after dinner. That was so sweet of them!”

“The dinner selections were varied and all looked delicious. There were options for light eating as well as a nice heavy meal. The food came out hot and everything tasted beautifully seasoned. Our server was delightful. The wine selection was not huge but it had something for everyone and we had a wine I had never heard of before. We will definitely be back.”

“We stopped in at the Whistle for the first time tonight after attending a awake for a loved one. We got there about 6:30ish and it was packed. We had about 30-40 people trickling in from our group. The staff was all fantastic….from the servers to the bartenders! They did such a fabulous job tending to all of us. We ordered drinks and our table got them minutes on such a busy night. Our food came quickly and all of it was delicious. I was shocked at how quickly we were served from drinks to food. I know we added lots more work to everyone but they all did well, were accommodating and didn’t show the stress of all the extra work. I wait more time at other places with 3/4 less the people. Kudos to the staff at The Whistle! We will be back as we had such a great experience!”

“Went to chuck E cheese for my granddaughter 7 birthday. A whole lot of things have changed. They get out technicid as in technology but it was a great place. She loved it. The atmosphere was great. The people were great. The service was magnificent. Take your kids to chuck e cheese. It's the best way to go for the birthday. Have a great time.?”

“Everything was delicious. My fiance and I split a bag and finished the whole thing. We went on a Sunday and the place was not packed but a good crowd was there. Prices were good too. We had 2lbs of seafood, appetizer,, drinks, and extra vegetables for 115. Not bad AT ALL!”

“Overall, I loved the place. The food was good. My ribs were hard and overcooked, but sauce was good. My party and I were impressed by our waitress. She was a one women band. She took 5 individual orders by memory and got everything right. She was the bartender as well, and we enjoyed our drinks. For all we saw her doing, she was still attentive to my family.”
