“Service was good! I appreciate that they have fresh squeezed orange juice but what needs to be changed is the name of their red velvet french toast. It should be red velvet cake roll toasted. I was very disappointed that it was a cake and not bread.“
“We started with an irish roll filled with corned beef, cabbage, and cheese, followed by a beef soup very filling, luch time i got the celtic charming sandwich smoked butt, onions, mushrooms, cheese, i just eat half a lot of meat, very please i will comeback.“
“Really like this joint! Be careful on the heat level you choose cause anything past medium isn't for the faint of heart. Food cooked fresh to order (which is what I expect and adore), good beers, good customer service. Should make tender Tuesday permanent, at least for 1 Tuesday a month. Keep frying that coop baby!“
“Found this place recently while searching for somewhere different to go for dinner with my husband. We got there around 7:30 on a Saturday night and got seated right away. The place was decently crowded and they did have dueling pianos as live entertainment. The music was a lot of fun.We were seated away from the stage area so it wasn’t as loud so my husband and I could still hear each other talk.I got a lemon drop martini which was delicious. The bruschetta and meatball appetizer was good. We did enjoy the bruschetta more, the meatballs were ok but not amazing. For dinner I got a fried chicken sandwich, it says you can order it “Nashville hot”. I asked our waitress if it was really hot and she said yes, she offered to bring the sauce on the side. I’m so glad she did! It was good but it was very spicy so less is more with that. Chicken was super juicy. Fries unfortunately were lukewarm and tasted stale. It was busy enough I was surprised they were not fresh. We liked the vibe and will go back.“
“Very welcoming to non-regulars. We're from out of state for a conference and were looking for a neighborhood bar. Perfect. Staff are quick and very friendly! They even put our MN Wild on TV for us even though 3 Chicago teams are playing tonight. If you're looking for a down home bar, this is a great place!! Didn't eat here but food looks good!“
“Even on busy rainy Friday night like it was...service was great...I forget the waitress name. She did an awesome job. She made sure our take-out order was together ok."~~~shhh~~~" " we did get extra rolls, "don't tell no one else. " Sorry no pics the food didn't have a chance“
“We were looking for Greek food, so it made us a bit nervous to find how little of the menu was Greek. We need not have worried. The meal was excellent! One sign that this cuisine is authentic is that they use the word "gyros" properly, as a singular! (The Greek plural is "gyroi".) My wife genuinely loved her gyros plate. In turn, I liked my souvlaki meal. The food was well seasoned. And the helpings were very generous. Boxes were required. It was obvious that the locals love this place. We will be back.“

“Ordered the buffalo chicken tenders. They were a bit on the small side. And didn't really get any spicy taste with them being "buffalo hot" but they were served super fresh and hot with a smile from the young lady working there. The customer service is always top notch here and that's why I'll always come back. ? ?“

“Was at this location for a Super Bowl party. The restaurant has a large back patio, which is smoke friendly, and a private back bar that you can rent.Bar food is pricey, but good size portions are good.Staff works well, but needs some training on clearing the tables before bringing out food.Full menu with good variety of plates and appetizers.Parking: Has a community parking lot behind the restaurant and some areas are reserved for the restruant, it's a shared lot for train station.“
“We went for the Friday dinner special, 2 pieces of lightly breaded walleye, salad and boiled red potatoes, the meal is delicious. The servers are always very nice and friendly. Looks a little old inside but it is a nice neighborhood bar and grill. They also have a few gambling machines and dart board. We will definitely be back.“
“We stopped in at the Whistle for the first time tonight after attending a awake for a loved one. We got there about 6:30ish and it was packed. We had about 30-40 people trickling in from our group. The staff was all fantastic….from the servers to the bartenders! They did such a fabulous job tending to all of us. We ordered drinks and our table got them minutes on such a busy night. Our food came quickly and all of it was delicious. I was shocked at how quickly we were served from drinks to food. I know we added lots more work to everyone but they all did well, were accommodating and didn’t show the stress of all the extra work. I wait more time at other places with 3/4 less the people. Kudos to the staff at The Whistle! We will be back as we had such a great experience!“
“Nice local restaurant! I got the avo vegan chorizo wrap, and my partner got the chicken avo flatbread. As well as shared the avo cheescake. All were delicious. Good vibe inside and the people working were very friendly! Would definitely recommend.“
