The Primal Cut Reviews
We have been here like 3 times. We try really hard to give it a chance tonight we paid for our drinks and walked out.. We had reservations and the first host was very nice then this lady walked up and had a bug or something up her …… barely acknowledged us, no hello or eye contact. Told the other host we could have table 34 or 35. Just rubbed us wrong. Then they stick us at a table by the door. No booth available, nothing by oak park with the lights. The waitress was pretty cold...just matter of fact. We had a party of 4...2 married couples. She would not allow 2 separate checks. We were unaware that they automatically charge 18% tip for parties up to 5. And to top it off, the 3.5% charge for using a card. The waitress lost out on that deal because we would normally tip 20%. The Primal Cut is a highly recommended steakhouse, known for its delicious and expertly seasoned steaks. The restaurant offers a good selection of dishes, including shareable and hot sides to complement the entrees. Daily specials are available, and each dish comes with a choice of potato and soup or salad. The service is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. Visitors often praise the fast service, with bread and water on the table within minutes, and drinks and appetizers arriving quickly. Entrees are served hot and cooked to perfection, with standout dishes like the Australian Wagyu NY Strip and the Surf and Turf Tuesday special, which is a fantastic deal with plenty of food. The desserts, especially the carrot cake, are highly enjoyed, often enough to share and take some home. The restaurant maintains an elegant and welcoming atmosphere, although prices are on the higher side with an automatic 18% gratuity. While some guests mention that the ribeye can be thick and lean, and the prime rib may have more fat than expected, the restaurant continues to be a favorite for many diners seeking a premium steakhouse experience.
