Check your food. I ordered, added specific notes and called to make sure the notes were clear and my order was still incorrect. 😫 just check it immediately.

Chen's has never let me down after the loss of the best Cantonese on the south side, Lang Lee's - I've ordered Hong Sue from Winnipeg, Toronto, Ohio, and back and Chen's is hands down the most authentic Americana Chinese, 20 out of 10

I've been going to Chen's for over 15 years. The last 5 years I've commuted from Indiana, because we haven't found anything better than Chen's.

Growing up in the Chinatown neighborhood of Chicago, I think I’ve had some of the BEST Chinese Cuisine you can get. Maybe Chen’s changed ownership. (It used to be one of my favorites) But my order was not up to par by any means. (From the Appetizers up to the main meals. Unfortunately I will have to part with this Restaurant.

Chens used to be a great Chinese food restaurant. The last 3 times we ordered from chens our food was not so good and lacking. The orange chicken was covered in sweet sour sauce and not the normal orange chicken. Sauce. I'm assumed it was because I asked for it to be mild. However the next time I didn't and it was the same. I then tried the sesame chicken and received the same sauce. The other dishes were lacking meat and or vegetables. And we did not receive the usual rice per dish. Also upon pick up the cashier makes a point to check for a tip and make you real uncomfortable when there isn't one... it's pick up not dine in or delivery, therefore I do not tip and a tip should not be expected on pick up orders. The cooks are paid to cook, the cashier is paid to hand you a bag and ring up your total.

I really do hope chens fixes these issues. Until then I won't be back or reccomend.

This use to my favorite place. I ordered the egg fu young which had eggshells in the first pattie I tried to eat. Unfortunately, the food was horrible I had to throw it away. Money, time, and gas wasted. Out of all my years I’ve never had eggshells in this dish.

The food was horrible. Beware: I ordered the Combo Seafood delight that menu say contains lobster, shrimp, scallops. It definitely isn't lobster...it's langoustine. They need to change the menu because that is false advertising. I don't know why local people say this place is good, maybe they don't know good Chinese food. Either way, the food was inedible and I think sadly you can get a better meal at Panda Express and that says a lot about Chen's!!

The Mongolian beef was returned for an equally horrid replacement.
Unsure why it was described as tenderloin beef???? No beef .??? Scary
Server was Horrid and charged us incorrectly on three items.

I've been going here for several years now. I always enjoy the food ?. The reason so many praise the lunch menu is that it has a lot to offer and comes with soup and egg roll or just soup. And let's not forget the hot tea and a fortune cookie. Let's face it, in this economy, you get so much for not a lot of money. And again, always good service.

Was told by a bunch of people that this place was great. No, it is not. 1st time here and neither my wife or I cared for the food. I will try it again, something different though. Can't just judge a place from one experience. Everyone has a bad day here and there.

This place used to be good but it has changed. Ordered $65 worth of takeout last night and we threw it all away. Beef & broccoli was soggy and fatty. Sweet & sour shrimp were all breading with tiny overcooked shrimp in them. BBQ pork had black and brown spots all over the meat. The only thing consistently good here is the egg rolls. Do not recommend
