The food is absolutely delicious. They are a little pricey, but within reason.

Very delicious food with excellent customer service and great value for the money. It’s a shame that their dining room is closed two days out of the week. This place is a hidden gem.

I went to Chens on Tuesday and the food was amazing! I had the shrimp fried rice and it tasted so good, they loaded it up with shrimp without charging extra which was really nice. My boyfriend got the beef fried rice and my mom got the chicken chow mein with pan fried noodles, they both loved their food as well. Service was nice, atmosphere was nice, the bill for our food was very affordable, I’ll definitely come back again.

I've found my people! Mongolian beef was delicious. Chicken fried rice (no peas, thank God) was on point and the egg roll was a thumbs up. This will be my go-to place for Asian food.

Based off of great reviews about food and service my fiancé and I decided to try Chen’s for the first time. Unfortunately our experience didn’t match the reviews. We sat looking at the menu for 15 minutes, unsure what to order since there were so many different options… In those 15 minutes the server approached us 5 times asking if we were ready. The 5th time she told us “are you ready because the time is running out.” I was completely confused as to what this meant as it was 2pm, there was only one other table in the restaurant and no sign about a time limit. While taking our order the server seemed to have minimal knowledge of the menu. She questioned us and seemed clueless as we told her the names and numbers of our entrees, even though I was pointing to each item in the menu while ordering. She seemed extremely confused when we asked for a simple fried rice upgrade and to add vegetables to a dish(which were both options on the menu). I could tell she didn’t understand and wanted to clarify that she had our orders correct, and she said “no that’s different then you said”. She ran to the kitchen and SCREAMED for a minute. Right before the food came I asked for a coke for my fiancé, and she literally rolled her eyes.My fiancé enjoyed his Four Seasons, and fried rice. My Imperial Beef Tenderloin sauce and vegetables were delicious, but the meat was completely rare. I’m pregnant so I could not eat the meat at all, and my fiancé who’s a chef would not even touch the meat. We were so uncomfortable and felt like such a bother, I decided to just eat rice rather than say anything about the meat. As a manager at a restaurant and a chef at another, we only get one day off to enjoy food together outside our workplaces. It is unfortunate to have that day ruined by an experience like this.

Their food just tastes clean. I don’t know where they source their seafood and vegetables. Their food simply tastes good. I’ve yet to be served an unflattering meal. The day that I’m served something that I don’t like, I’ll be taken for a loop. I have always had great food from Chen’s. The standout? It’s fresh and clean tasting: that’s their key. It’s never salty or over the top. It’s seasoned balanced and well. The food is always piping hot: just as I like it. It’s never cold or lukewarm. The service is friendly, kind and courteous. Today, for lunch, I had their Three Treasure: it’s chicken, Shinto and scallops over vegetables. I’d never had that meal, but I wasn’t afraid to try it because they’ve never made a bad meal for me. You must try the Three Treasure: superb! The sauce is wonderfully flavored.

Wonderful little gem of a restaurant. Tried it on a recommendation from a family member. The restaurant was very clean and we were greeted warmly as we entered. My wife and I ordered egg rolls, fried rice, and egg foo young just to keep it basic. We both rated each item as being excellent and won't hesitate to expand ordering other items from the menu. They also have lunch specials that we will be trying in the future.

I read all the 5 star reviews, it seems like a cute little place. The egg rolls were real good HOWEVER the orange chicken was not edible. Fatty gristle dark meat chicken every single piece. Too bad and I'm sorry to leave such a poor review but I ended up throwing the orange chicken away. I will stick with Mos Kitchen where they use chicken breast meat for their dishes, come on Chen's don't serve people this stuff...

My favorite spot in Illinois as of now. Fried rice is amazing, as well as the beef and broccoli. 10 outta 10. Highly recommend. Good eats.
