Went to the Cracker Barrel location in Tinley Park. Illinois. The food was just awful. It's very hit or miss. Mashed potatoes were hard and dried out. They were out of green beans. The fried apples there were about four of them in that little bowl and the taste was off. The grilled chicken strips were very good. Waitress was trying hard, but she was really struggling. She was very nice. She was a young girl but had too many tables. And kept forgetting everything. I asked if I could have some more apples. Because there were literally 4 tiny apples in that bowl. And she said she would have to charge me an extra order. $5 and I said, absolutely not. I asked to speak to the manager. She comes across as very nice. She's an older hispanic lady.I think or italian, but she never really rectifies a situation. She just says how sorry she is.And wanted to make sure everything was taken care of. By the time I got my new potatoes and a new side of apples was another 15 minutes later .My whole lunch. was messed up. I explained this to the manager.I wanted to eat everything together. Not in stages.I thought that she would have maybe comped the meal or given me a discount or a partial credit for a future meal. But absolutely nothing. This location has really gone down. Then, when the waitress came, she told me she was doing something with the bill, but she did not do anything with the bill. And gave me a card for a free dessert, which I don't eat.

expensive, Tinley Park manager needs retraining, not a nice person and not willing to rectify a problem
Good food…but loaded mash potatoes which is priced extra were hard and cold.
It was overpriced and the food was very small and they don't know how to make omelets, not on the menu.
Grreat and comfortable atmosphere

I went to this location for a gift not food the last. Great gifts and sales. Lost my keys, I thought. A very smart and knowledgeable person, checked and found them in a candy tray just in front of the checkout. Everyone was great.
First visit to this location. Ordered takeout, great experience all around.

Very good prices and prices, the service was outstanding. We haven't been to a Cracker Barrel in a long time, it was way better than I expected.

Known for good country food, but our food was cold and we had to wait for the biscuits. By the time they came, we were almost done eating. They were piping hot tho, and the service was very nice. Would recommend, this was not a typical experience.

I took my senior citizen dad here for dinner and it was a solid experience, as expected.
The staff was courteous and helpful. The vibe is typically pretty chill, whenever I've been. The only slight issue was that there weren't many handicapped parking spaces- which is surprising, due to the majority of the customers are seniors.
The menu didn't offer any big surprises, but I knew what to expect and was not disappointed (the honey fried chicken is a new favorite of mine).
My dad enjoyed his pot roast (unfortunately the kitchen was out of potatoes) and crushed his sweet tea.
As long as I can get him out and about, we'll be back.
