I called on Valentines day to ask if a reservation was needed and was told no and to come right in. The person answering the phone was slightly rude but ended cheerful so I thought I caught her at a busy moment. I found out my first assumption was right. When we got there we parked right up front, since I had never been there I asked the hostess if it was ok to park up front and she answered.. Aaaahhh Yeah, because the city F'ing F'd up their F'ing parking lot. I should have left then, but the reviews were good and pictures of food looked good. The hostess said sit wherever you want so we sat in the bar area. She came to get our drink orders and I said I'll have a glass of water and if I could get a cup of soup right away (I was feeling a little car sick). She then put her hand in my face and repeated WATER, and then looked to my date for his order. She brought our drinks back to table immediately with bruchetta. She walked away to answer the phone to which she spoke to them extremely rude as well. We went up to the bar to ask what our coke cost because we were done, she said don't worry about it and sarcastically said Happy Valentines day as we walked out. My boyfriend said that she had to be a family member or owner to get away with such terrible behavior. Another couple of people were going to go in as we were coming out and I said no food is good enough to tolerate that kind of unprofessionalism , they said oh yea the short rude waitress last time we were here we thought she was drunk. They turned around and left with us. So I guess I'll never know if food was good or not

I celebrated my PhD last night in this great place. Well we passed a terrific evening and the restaurant was unquestionably the reason for the happy meeting. The stuff participated in a splendid way, the meals were very good and my buddies were extremely glad. We shall absolutely come back again for more celebrations. thanks very much.

This spot is worth trying. They serve big portions for reasonable prices. Constantly well kept and with good character. Will come visit again.

Certainly a spot worth stopping over, the food is excellent and fresh, the rates are affordable and it is always clean there. Highly recommended.

Having lived in Tinley and eating here previously, we expected the quality of food from previous dinners. We ordered 4 selections at lunch. After an extended wait, The cold Soup arrived with the meals and one dish was not brought at all. The alfredo pasta sauce was clearly not homemade. The menu stated” add chicken “ and when it was ordered. The waitress came back and said the chicken was prebreaded and they cannot take it off ?!? Speaking with the “manager”, while paying our $50 lunch bill for 2 adults and 2 babies under 2, he did not apologize, did not ask one question - just stood there looking at us. Although we paid the bill, we left 90% of the food on the table. Do not recommend

My husband and I had a light dinner at this restaurant. The home made potato chips were fabulous and our sandwiches were tasty. I was a little disappointed though that the complimentary bruschetta was served on white bread rather than toasted bread as I’ve seen elsewhere.

Wanted to give this place a try. The restaurant has changed hands a couple of times. Back in the day it was awesome. I am afraid it doesn't really work as it is now. They kept the bar and tables from the old restaurant, but the overall look is just that, old. The one waitress we saw was very pleasant. She advised my husband that he really would not be pleased with the item ordered and highly suggested he try another menu item, which was the French dip. I ordered the salmon which was probably a mistake not knowing anything about the establishment. It looked great and smelled good. The seasoning was good, but when I cut into it, the middle had what looked like white fat lines and globules through it. It was served with a mixed carrot, broccoli, and cauliflower vegetable which I am going to guess was a bag mix. Needless to say I'm not impressed. The French dip did appear to be the right choice. It was good size and my hubby reported quite tasty. They have slot machines. Full bar. We tried it, will probably not go back. Too many good bar restaurants in the area.

This spring we had a family party in the back Party Room. It was excellent service. Scott and Danielle helped us with the planning. The room accommodated around 50 easily with room to spare. The family style luncheon was delicious. I had guests give plenty of compliments. The service was fantastic. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone planning a party or a great dinner.

Heard luby's had new owners and thought I would give them a new chance. Well not much has changed. The buttsteak sandwich for 16.95 is a complete ripoff. The steak was so small. They say a piece of meat the size of a deck of cards is 8oz. This piece would be lucky to weigh in @ 4oz. I asked the waitress if the manager could come over because the size and price were wrong. She said the owner was behind the bar and he'd be right over. Took the owner 10 minutes to come over. Apparently slicing fruit and wiping down an empty bar was more important than me. On top of it, he was rude, condescending, and has no clue on how to treat customer. The place remains over priced, dated, and the new owner is rude. I will never patronize lubys again. I predict that new ownership will not right the ship, but, will sink it. Here's hoping after it sinks the place will return to what it was when the people who own Jenny's operated it.
