We used to go to this Steak n Shake every weekend! But over the years it just got worse and worse. Quit going right before covid because the buns were always stale . Decided to give it a try last week with their new model of ordering at kiosk and picking up food from counter. Considering there are no staff except one cooking burgers and one adding toppings the prices are outrageous! $13.99 for a tiny combo meal and I have to serve myself??? The buns were still stale and crumbling apart ! Got a chili cheese fry upgrade and it was not good. ! Nope 👎🏻 go down the street to Chili’s and get their 10.99 burger special. Huge burger and fresh fries and drinks for less money and better quality of food. Never again going to Steak n Shake in Tinley park.

Definitely not like it used to be. You order yourself. They call your name and you have to get your good from the counter. Ordered large fries and got small just like my family. You can only get one refill if you order a drink. The worst is when you have a problem, no one is around. It's terrible. They don't welcome you or check how your food was. Go somewhere else where you are appreciated. Seriously, go somewhere else.

The place can definitely use more upkeep/remodel but the customer service here is amazing EVERY single time they are so sweet and the food here is a classic staple.
