I ordered my food. They said it'll be 55 minutes. It took almost 2 hours. I basically lost my appetite by then .I've been to India. I've eaten on Devon Street and I can honestly say this was not authentic Indian food. I even looked in the back to see if it was an Indian cooks. I didn't see any. Unless you want American version of Indian food I would never go there. Ever!

I decided to give this place another chance to see if my previous experience was an exception. Unfortunately, the service was consistently poor and atrocious. The owner seemed to be handling everything from seating customers, to taking orders and managing pickup orders. It’s unclear if they are understaffed or have other reasons for this setup. Although the food was decent, the overall experience was marred by the lack of efficient service. I emphasize - TERRIBLE service accompanied by OUTRAGEOUS wait times. An absolute circus between phones ringing non stop and people lined up to our table. I rarely leave reviews, but it’s important for people to be aware of these aspects.

The food is amazing but the wait time is outrageous. They told us 1hour and 40 minutes. Then when we went to pick up our food, we waited another 40mins. Please work on this issue because it’s not the first time, we really wanted to come back but not after this experience. Customers that were waiting were all complaining.
I tried to call to place an order at 7:30pm when they close at 9pm. The guy told me “they are not taking orders anymore.” I have always had a problem with this place. They have the worst service I have ever seen.
Great local spot for Indian cuisine. A local "must try." Take note- it's a popular spot! The parking lot is almost always full. I didn't have to wait long though. I'm far from an expert on Indian food but the servers are very helpful. 4 stars on "atmosphere." The place was nice & clean but it's not "The Ritz," but don't let that stop you! ?Parking: As I mentioned the parking lot is always pretty full but there are spots available...

My family had a taste for Indian food and decided to try Tandoori house on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. My wife, 18 month old son, and I arrived about 6:15pm and the restaurant was less than half full with a couple of people waiting for take out near the front door. The waitress arranged a high chair for my son, brought us menus, and an appetizer to munch on. Great start! We already knew what we wanted to eat (and we were hungry) so I asked about their butter chicken to which the waitress replied curtly, "Give me a moment." Ok, we thought, she must be busy with other customers, no problem. So we waited 5 minutes, (waitress is running around taking care of other customers)....10 minutes (we've finished the appetizer already and would like to at least order our drinks)..... 15 minutes... (the baby is getting restless and we're really hungry now)... 20 minutes...(the waitress walks through the restaurant makes eye contact with me, looks away, and starts attending to some take out customers). At that point, we had enough so we rose and put on our coats. On the way out, we walked right by the waitress (who turned her back to us) and said nothing. What a terrible impression Tandoori made on us and we won't be back; I don't care how good their food is. We still wanted Indian food that night so we drove out to Thali Indian Cuisine at 14149 S Cicero Ave in Crestwood and we received excellent service and the food was on point.
