Quite little place to relax and have a drink. They do have a couple of slot machines, and they do serve food.

Weirdest feeling when I stepped in this place with my family. People at the bar and a couple of guys in a high table. Every one of them, including the bartender/server turned and stared at us when we got in, as if “what are you doing here, you don’t belong here”. I had a feeling of turning around and leaving, but we stayed. The bartender/server woman had just this weird and unfriendly attitude. My sister wanted to ask her if they were from Ireland because all of the Irish decoration, but only to see if she would soften and engage in a conversation with us. Her husband told her to better not, but she went ahead and asked her if she was Irish lol… She only said I’m not and turn med around to go in her stuff. Gosh I think she needs to retire, stay home and rest. I think she needs it.

This was a great little bar. Especially for the neighborhood to get some food and drinks close to home. Great prices and service. Sam is phenomenal so make sure you ask for her your next visit. Everyone I know goes to this bar. About a few months ago people started saying the service and food wasn't the same and when they spoke to the owner she seems to disregard them and simply didn't care. We tried different days and hours and would get different bartenders than Sam. (Bad results everytime) The last time we got together there for taco Tuesday (we thought Sam quit but found out she was still there unfortunately she was getting off at dinner time) we waited an hour before asking for an update on our other. The bartender was rude saying "Everyone has to wait not just you!" We came before a party of 6 and they were served and we still waited. The bartender never came to let us know they were backed up or anything. So w nicely asked again, never raised our voice or used foul language. She told us 15 mins so we waited 25 more which now it's been 1.5 hours so we asked for a refund and she turned nasty. She then told us with a nasty attitude we couldn't ever return there as if that was even an option. She raised her voice at us bc we told her we couldn't wait any longer. She turned and told the whole bar something and they all stared confused. We paid for our drinks and was ready to walk out. She was confratational and kept our change so when we asked for it she started laughing, mocked how my husband asked, called us broke because we didn't leave an extra tip which she got prior bc we had 3 rounds of drinks. We left. My friend grew up in Tinley and LOVE the cottage. They were so shocked how we were treated that they never want to return. I'm so sad because it's hard finding a good go to place. Hopefully things change for the better and Good luck to the owner. No hard feelings on anyone of us, but we don't want to spend money in a place with that type of environment.

Daytime bartender was an older ignorant woman. We got there just before shift change so that was good. New bartender/server asked us what we wanted right away when she saw us. Old lady wouldn't give the time of day. There were 4 of us and I said F this place let's go, but wife saw the new girl and said we have a waitress so we don't have to deal with her. I said fine. She was the tender/server which she handled great. Food was good services was good, but when we come back and if old broad is working, nope, we're leaving.
