We went for the Friday dinner special, 2 pieces of lightly breaded walleye, salad and boiled red potatoes, the meal is delicious. The servers are always very nice and friendly. Looks a little old inside but it is a nice neighborhood bar and grill. They also have a few gambling machines and dart board. We will definitely be back.

This was a great little bar. Especially for the neighborhood to get some food and drinks close to home. Great prices and service. Sam is phenomenal so make sure you ask for her your next visit. Everyone I know goes to this bar. About a few months ago people started saying the service and food wasn't the same and when they spoke to the owner she seems to disregard them and simply didn't care. We tried different days and hours and would get different bartenders than Sam. (Bad results everytime) The last time we got together there for taco Tuesday (we thought Sam quit but found out she was still there unfortunately she was getting off at dinner time) we waited an hour before asking for an update on our other. The bartender was rude saying "Everyone has to wait not just you!" We came before a party of 6 and they were served and we still waited. The bartender never came to let us know they were backed up or anything. So w nicely asked again, never raised our voice or used foul language. She told us 15 mins so we waited 25 more which now it's been 1.5 hours so we asked for a refund and she turned nasty. She then told us with a nasty attitude we couldn't ever return there as if that was even an option. She raised her voice at us bc we told her we couldn't wait any longer. She turned and told the whole bar something and they all stared confused. We paid for our drinks and was ready to walk out. She was confratational and kept our change so when we asked for it she started laughing, mocked how my husband asked, called us broke because we didn't leave an extra tip which she got prior bc we had 3 rounds of drinks. We left. My friend grew up in Tinley and LOVE the cottage. They were so shocked how we were treated that they never want to return. I'm so sad because it's hard finding a good go to place. Hopefully things change for the better and Good luck to the owner. No hard feelings on anyone of us, but we don't want to spend money in a place with that type of environment.

Daytime bartender was an older ignorant woman. We got there just before shift change so that was good. New bartender/server asked us what we wanted right away when she saw us. Old lady wouldn't give the time of day. There were 4 of us and I said F this place let's go, but wife saw the new girl and said we have a waitress so we don't have to deal with her. I said fine. She was the tender/server which she handled great. Food was good services was good, but when we come back and if old broad is working, nope, we're leaving.

Went there last night after my husband repeatedly mentioned how good their $2 tacos were on Tuesday nights. Came straight from work so long day and just wanted to enjoy the evening with a couple tacos! Walked in to a bar that was maybe 30% full with two tables taken and 5 people at the bar. Music was ridiculously loud so could barely hear each other talk at the table. Seems like the slots were popping a bit. Ordered a total of nine tacos for three people, two beers and water. Then proceeded to wait well over an hour for our food. The bartender was also the server (B/S) and I felt that she had been working there for a while as she ignored us while talking with everyone at the bar. A table of people left abruptly mid way through as I think they were waiting a very long time for their food to come out as well. There was a bit of a commotion as the B/S started yelling at the group, got her boss on the phone, etc. Felt like there might be an altercation right then and there between the group leaving, a few people at the bar and the B/S. We stayed about another 35-40 minutes with no food, no water, empty beer bottle and loud music. Food came out "warm" from the kitchen seconds after we got up and said we were leaving. Took food order to go and left very disappointed. Told my husband I didn't want to hear about "The Cottage" anymore for a long time! Would I return, maybe. Would check to see who the B/S was before sitting down. Feel I would like to give this place another shot as the tacos, even though just warm, we're pretty good.

A small restaurant with a banquet hall and people waiting for over 40 minutes on a Friday fish fry. Left on o see the staff sitting in the banquet room gabbing while we were waiting for a seat. Saw about 5 set of people also leaving after 15 minutes in disarray after also waiting to get a table. Never again

Had an amazing experience at the bar with Sam! She’s so friendly and smily. So efficient and great conversation! Absolutely recommend!

We came in last night and stood by the bar and the bartender who's name I believe is Kami would not take our order. We motioned her many times and she acknowledged that we wanted to be served then walked down to the other side on the bar and ignored us. She was extremely rude! We eventually left as she watched us walk out the door and gave us a smirky good bye wave. We knew her intentions were not to serve us right from the beginning. We were very well dressed as we just came from dinner at Coopers Hawk. We were out celebrating with a politician from Illinois and will never go back to this place! I can understand some rude people but this bartender was absolutely the worst!

Well I have been wanting to try this place out. But I think that will be the first and last time I go there. The service was very slow and my wings were burnt. The girl taking orders was to busy taken care of her regulars and forgetting about new people that they will need to keep open. I wish them luck.
