“I came in on Saturday night and the place was packed, but that didn't slow down the service at all. The giant breaded tenderloin was worth all the hype and even with the lightest topping required more than one person to finish which was probably why it came in the foil pan ready for a lid to go. To add to the experience, the whole sandwich cost less than $20“

“The hounds rest used to be the blind pig. The new ownership has done a fantastic job keeping the local charm while making tasteful updates. The aesthetic is old English and it's on point.
I can't say it enough. I love their support of local breweries and the community. They participate in so many events and even host events. I consider this bar whenever I want a night out or just a quick drink with friends.“

“Great choice of 40 craft beers and ciders on tap and a well stocked bar. Most of the beers on tap were $6.00 for 12 ounces, the higher alcohol content, 8-14.6 % were $9-10 dollars for 12 ounces. Great music, friendly staff with good knowledge.“

“Went here during the summer and it had a very relaxed atmosphere, exactlywhat I was looking for in a hookah lounge. It is pretty barebones except for a few couches and booths. The staff might be the best part though. The guy we had was a great story teller and was on the ball when it came to adjusting coals.“

“It's a nice bar. They have taps to pour yourself beers or get a nice cocktail. They have a variety of selections for beers and cocktails. The atmosphere is a very nice place to come with friends and family. They don't have a kitchen though. If you're planning on having meals here, you have to bring it from somewhere else and that's a nice thing, I guess. Overall, this place is very nice. I enjoyed it.“

“Great food, great music, great owner, great staff, great bartenders. I love this place and I had some of my best memories here. I think the owner is a very nice and smart guy and that’s one of the reasons why this place has it all. If you wanna party, they have a huge space in the back with big mirrors (if anyone claims to have a dance bar and they don’t have mirrors there, they don’t know the business at all) and great DJs and light and music. OMG I’ve been to some of the fanciest bars in California but none of them can beat my experience from Joe’s. Totally worth the time (to stay in the line) and money (cover fee and drinks).“

“I am rating this in comparison to other college town food places as it is impossible for me to rate in comparison to what im used to in New York. Good food considering that this is a college town and friendly service too. It’s a good place to meet up with fellow students. Make sure to bring wet wipes as the tables and chairs are sticky, which is expected in a college town.“

“This is hands down my favorite spot to eat in the Champaign-Urbana area. Anytime someone visits and hasn’t been here before, it’s always my go-to recommendation. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff are friendly and attentive. I’ve had Indian food from a lot of different places, but this one really stands out. Who would’ve thought you’d need to come to east-central Illinois to find such great Indian food!“
