We went with friends that had eaten here before. Nothing fancy, Just really good pizza. Thin crust, wood fired oven, local fresh toppings! Moved up to my number 1 pizza joint. I'm from out of state and I often visit my family in greater Mendota-Troy Grove-Peru area. My uncle introduced me to this place for the pizza and Italian beef. The giardiniera peppers are fantastic and I believe homemade. Apparently the owner of this place came out of Chicago and that's where the taste of the food came from. Please! Do not be surprised by the exterior. Mike's has a bit of a dive bar exterior (something that is actually a "positive" to me).
