My husband and I tried here for the first time this past Saturday and I ordered us Large Margaritas. I got on the rocks, my husband got frozen. They were ALOT bigger than we were expecting! We enjoyed them.
The food that we ordered hot, fast and the amount of flavor was just spot on! The service was really awesome as well, everyone was friendly as soon as we walked in. We will definitely be going back. We really loved our first experience!

Palenque is an excellent addition to downtown Troy, offering a great atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating, including an awesome patio with heaters for year-round use. The decor is modern with beautiful paintings on the walls, and the restrooms are very clean. Service is consistently described as great, awesome, and excellent, with staff being friendly and accommodating even for large groups on busy nights.
The food is very good, phenomenal, and deliciously prepared with really fresh ingredients. Specific praised items include the Steak and Shrimp plate, the queso fundido, the ground beef chimichanga, the chicken chimichanga, and the burrito palenque. The Carne En Su Jugo soup is full of flavor. The rice and beans are also very good. The salsa is top notch and excellent, served with light and crispy chips. Margaritas are good and come in comically big jumbo sizes. Prices are reasonable, just a few bucks more than average.
Considered the best Mexican food in the area and a new favorite, Palenque is seen as a staple and the type of business Troy needs.
