Incredible coffee and friendly service. I highly recommend the canelle and crème brûlée latte. I genuinely believe this may be the best coffee in Champaign.

My gf and I went here over the weekend, we got the specialty chai latte and the crème brûlée latte. Pretty good but wish the drinks were stronger. We also got some fruit pastries, recommend the berry danish and pineapple tart a lot. However I’d recommend warming them up. Nonetheless pretty good

Calm setting with ample seating and friendly workers. The seasonal coffees were tasty but could be stronger, the pastries were fresh and unique. The pb coffee pastry was a miss, but the fruit pastries are a safe and sweet option.

Meghan and Sam took care of my order. The pastries here are amazing quality, the service Meghan and Sam provided was excellent, and the overall atmosphere is amazing and clean! Would recommend this location as I visit it frequently. The pastries are one of a kind, such as the service! 10/10 would recommend if in the area.

Wouldn't sell me a bucket.
Visited at the Dairy Products building of the NY State Fair.
Saw they had buckets of cookies. Decided it would end an awesome day to leave with a bucket.
Made my family book it across the park to get the building before it closed. Waited in line.
Went to order, to be told they would no longer sell buckets for the night — but tried to force me into building something else to use up their remaining cookies.

Overall prices are the highest in the area and quality is middle of the road. Several other bakeries in town that offer better value.

The barista Emily was so kind and quick with her service! Will continue going as long as she’s there!
Needed some pastry-fueled energy to complete our roadtrip and BakeLab did not disappoint. Ordered a few danishes, croissants, and cruffins to-go; these were right up there with some of the well-known bakeries I’ve been to around the US and abroad. The indoor/outdoor seating seemed like a nice atmosphere for students to study or remote workers to grab a table. The bakery was clean, and the staff very pleasant. We were able to find a parking spot on the side street, which I am sure becomes more difficult when school is in session. Thank you, BakeLab!
Staff was incredibly rude, especially one of the managers I interacted with. Food is okay but definitely overpriced.
