We got rose tteokbokki, 16 honey garlic wings, and pickled radish. I love pickled radish so 10/10 for that. The wings were crunchy, and flavor was nice. I've been here a couple of times and am always pretty satisfied with the wings. I also had the rose tteokbokki but was kind of disappointed. The flavor was slightly bland, but the texture of the rice cakes was not right. They were breaking apart and mushier than it should be. I had it before a while ago and I don't remember it being like that? So that's the reason it's at 4 stars instead of 3. It's a nice place on campus to go and eat with your friends. Has casual vibes and music is not too loud. There's a kiosk where you can order if you don't want to go to the cashier. It's also pretty expensive, and I was not super happy with spending that much for the tteokbokki honestly. Hopefully next time it's better.

I tried the special sauce wings, they were amazing. They had great flavor and were crispy. Part of why I only rate it a 4 is because I wish that you could pick two flavors. Overall really good

Love their fried chicken; get it as spicy as they make it and ask for gloves! The fries don't stay crispy when ordering takeout but that's my only complaint.

Wings are fine, very crispy and sauce is good, but the prices are absurd for what you’re getting. If I’m already paying $20 for 12 wings I don’t want to pay another $10 for fries and a drink. Only go Monday-Friday to get the deal.

I was really excited to see this on campus as BBQ Chicken is a well-known Korean fried chicken franchise. I know there are a couple other locations throughout IL and beyond, but I had the best experience by far from the Champaign location. I normally get the boneless chicken. Hands down, the best flavor is Secret Sauce ;) The other day I also got to try the Mala Tteokboki. As a mala-lover, I really enjoyed this!! It was very spicy (as it should be), and not too much of a tongue-numbing sensation. I didn't add cheese in mine, but would definitely recommend it w cheese for the full experience. At a first glance, I felt the portion size was small, but this is def a generous 2.5 servings I think some complains come from the fact that they are overpriced, but I think the price is comparable to what it is in Korea. I found that it is A LOT cheaper ($4-5 bucks cheaper) to order in-person instead of using 3rd party apps such as Grubhub/UberEATS. Would 100% eat here again to satiate my K-Chicken cravings and I am so happy to know that it will hit the spot each time.

Order every week. The spicy original chicken is exactly like Mai La chicken in China’s

We came for a visit to Champaign and on our tour, our tour guide said that this was her favorite restaurant in the area, so we decided to try it after our tour ended. The place is very cute and the lady behind the counter was very sweet and inviting. Service was great. She showed and explained the options to us and was very patient. However, the food was a bit disappointing. My boneless chicken was ok, but my daughters was supposed to be one level spicy but was very spicy. My husband’s meal didn’t really look like on the picture and when he received it, he was asking us whether that was what he ordered. It was so funny because he actually looked confused and was comparing his meal to the picture lol He liked his meal the lest. You can get plastic gloves to eat as some of the food can get messy. It was a nice little spot but unfortunately we didn’t love it.Parking: Parking available by the restaurant but it was pretty full

This honestly has some of THE BEST Korean Fried Chicken I have ever had. I have dined here 3 times already, and this is my experience. The best flavor is the Honey Garlic. Hands down. Do yourself a favor and pass in the Cheeseling. It tastes like the cheese powder in Kraft Mac n Cheese but just overly sweet and messy. The powder gets all over your lips, lap, and shirt and not really in your mouth. The amount of Cajun Fries you get is AMAZING for the price. For $5.95 you get an entire bag full of fries, I would estimate it the about 2-3 times the size of a McDonald's Large. The chicken itself have be meh. When it's juicy and tender and crispy, it is sooooo heavenly. But sometimes I have gotten some super dry pieces that make it super hard to bite and chew. The consistency is not always there. But I do appreciate that the flavor, texture, and taste reflect the fact that is is real chicken. Not that processed stuff from fast food chains. I haven't had a chance to experiment with side yet, but so far I can say that the pickled radish is a pass. I ordered it once for $1.95 or $2.95 and it had the most chemical-like after taste. It tasted like it was from a jar, but a realllly old and low quality jar. I'm not too picky in my pickled radish, but I had to throw it out after 2 bites just because I was afraid of getting sick. One thing that I would say that would be a great addition is the ability to get multiple flavors in your chicken order. If we were to order a 16 piece, it would be nice to ask for 8 of one flavor and 8 of another. Also the lunch special is not that great of a deal. $14.99 for 6 pieces and a small side of fries and a canned drink it not that great when you consider than an 8 piece is about $12 and a side of fries is $6 and you get about 4-5 times the amount you would in the lunch special.

The order takes too long and when I called them they were really mean to me. I think the service should be better.

I’m a doordash driver and I had to pick an order up from this place. When I arrived the cashier told me another guy took my order. It makes zero sense and is extremely unprofessional. You don’t just let a random person take a DoorDash. Only one person should’ve known the name to the DoorDash and that’s me. Something is up with this place and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was racism.

I am a big supporter of bb.q chicken. I lived in Chicago for a while so i know what good food taste like and I've had bb.q in my hometown SEVERAL times and this does not live up to the name by far. I always get soy garlic boneless and my friends gets spicy galbi and both weren't that good. Usually the outside has an AMAZING crunch and is oozing with juices and bathed in sauce and that was not anything i experienced the service was good and the ambiance was extremely mid.
