drinks are overpriced for bad tasting coffee, managers are rude especially the guy who dyes his hair every so often, seems like they finally replaced the blonde ponytail girl
*whew* with a someone nicer thats appreciate the craft, i honestly feel bad for the baristas this seems like a stressful working environment where they are unsupported

The staff works very hard! The drinks are always made very well, and they are open up until midnight, for any late-night study cravings.

I ordered a cortado, dude gets me two shots of espresso with nothing else in it charges me full price around 5 bucks, and then burns the shots so it tastes like the underside of the grill.

The guy with green hair is really rude. I wanted to use my gift card, he kept saying that their app didn’t work. I tried to asked if they could use my email, as the instructions prompt, he interrupted me every time and just said their app didn’t work, loudly and seemed like I couldn’t understand the app didn’t work and only wanted to redeem the credits. Their steamed milk is as twice expensive as every other coffee shops.

The reason for the one star review overall is due to the fact that you have changed the chai latte. Your chai was the best in the Champaign-Urbana area and recently you have changed ithe recipe and the new mix is awful. Now I have no reason to come to Espresso Royale if my beverage of choice is not available.
You still have great staff and your food is good but I won't come there just for the food I come there for my chai latte.

I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for the rude barista with a blonde ponytail giving attitude about everything. Other than that, food and refreshers are great, and the other barista with glasses is very kind and takes the time to get your drink right.

Ordered a caprese toast and the avocado tasted insanely acidic. My friend googled it and said that it means that the avocado has bacteria growing and that it has gone bad.

I asked for a Vanilla Carmel Latte from the menu and almost got charge for a regular latte plus flavors (which is more). When I tried to kindly point it out to the cashier, she just got super mad at me and then huffed at me before changing the price. Thought that was very unprofessional and rude.

Hello,
Today (Mar 2), I visited your coffee shop in Grainger. I ordered a large latte first, and later, I asked a girl working there if I could have a cup. The girl gave me a small cup, and I wondered if I could have the large one. The girl said no, and they needed to charge me for the larger cup. I said yes and asked how much; when I was about to pay for the large cup while I was putting the small cup back on top of the coffee machine, a guy suddenly came to me and said:
In the future, do not touch this area (the cups' area)
I just wanted to put the small cup your other staff (a girl) gave me back. I explained to him so. However, he responded loudly and harshly, "No argument; there is no argument." I found this to be very unprofessional and it upset me very much. It was unnecessary. Individuals working in customer service should not yell at their customers or say something as curt as "no argument" when the customer is calmly speaking with them.
I shall not return to this location and will be posting a review. This is simply unacceptable behavior from a member of your team and it frankly ruined my afternoon.
