I stopped in for lunch with my son after a campus visit. I ordered one roll and miso soup, while my son ordered two rolls. The server brought my roll eight minutes before my son's food and before my soup, so I let it sit. The rolls looked good, but fell short in quality and flavor. When my soup arrived, it was served with a traditional soup spoon instead of a chirenge, which made it difficult to enjoy. I wondered if this was a result of the fusion translation.Since we were disappointed with our lunch, we thought we'd try to justify the good reviews by ordering dessert. We ordered the Chocolate Mousse & Green Tea Ice Cream, and I also ordered a coffee. However, when the desserts were served, I received a flourless chocolate cake instead of mousse, and my son received hot green tea instead of green tea ice cream. When we explained the mix-up to the waiter, he quickly corrected the mistake and brought us Mochi not green tea ice cream. I have no idea if this was some kind of bait and switch tactic or another play on Fusion, but it was certainly strange. In the end, the cost of our meal was $71.20 before the 20% tip.

I always get the dollar sushi from here! I recommend getting the dollar sushi with mango, and the rice ball appetizers are so good!

The food is always has been amazing! However, The young girl working the counter this evening is extremely short, rude, and seems annoyed by customers. She’s been like this the last few times I’ve been here. Very off putting.

Did we drive 2 and a half hours to come to this Kofusion? Yes. Yes we did. Did we regret it? Not one bit. This spicy Korean chicken is our absolute favorite. Graduating from U of I has been disheartening as that means I am further away from this place. They're always so nice and quick to service. It wasn't busy or crowded at all. The environment was just as I remembered. Thank you KoFusion!

The food is good but there's some piece of broken equipment that constantly squeals, making it very unpleasant to sit inside.

pretty good and better than expected! the miso soup was quite delicious with a strong sesame and umami flavor. Very modern with the kiosk to order. The menu is very limited which is my only thing. there's not too much to choose from but the make your own roll option is cool. The service was great and the ambiance is nice very clean and chic. Good place to study relatively quiet!

There are two locations for KoFusion in C-U and this one is located on campus in residential area surrounded by the University. The menu is pan-Asian so there are entrees that reflect a variety of cuisines, including Japanese and Thai. I opted for the Penang curry while one of my colleagues had the Rainbow Roll. The curry was perfectly spiced with a medium heat and the portion was so large I couldn't quite finish it all. The assortment of vegetables with the shrimp was very nice, topped with some cashews. The Rainbow Roll also was very large with generous portions of sashimi atop it. Prices are reasonable. Service is good as well. Recommended.

I went on a tour of the University of Illinois today and afterwards, my son and I decided to stop in for sushi. The first thing I noticed is how modern the facility was and how clean it was. When we walked in, there was a self-serve kiosk and it was extremely easy to navigate. I love the fact that there was a description of each dish and a photograph to help making our decisions a little easier. After looking at our options, my son decided to have the Korean BBQ wings with udon noodles. He loved the wings and I loved the noodles although they were a bit too spicy for my taste. If they were a little less spicy, this would have been the perfect comfort food for me. I love that they had a tasting plate for the sushi so I was able to try each of the $1 sushi. We ordered eight pieces and devoured it quickly. We ended up ordering another platter of sushi. I don't typically like sushi with cheese, so the creamy roll was not my favorite. The Cali and spicy crab were both good, but the Coco roll put them all to shame. It was amazing! If I'm ever in a place where this restaurant is, I would definitely go back, order the Coco rolls and a side of the udon noodles. This was a very good lunch!

I had the Eel roll for lunch and it was very tasty. This sushi is definitely on the pricy side considering size and quality, but it was delicious nonetheless. Unagi was well grilled and there was a good amount of the sauce on top. They definitely could give you more wasabi, but they'll give you more if you ask.

The Ko-Fusion Campus is right on campus near the CRCE, so it's a good place for students at the departments nearby to go for a quick meal. It provides with a electronic ordering system, which is convenient for me as an introvert and for people who choose the to-go option. I ordered a Korean Spicy Chicken with extra sauce, and a plate of Big Roll. The rice was soft (but I think soft rice always tends to make me sleepy afterwards); the chicken was a little hard at the edges somewhere, but was good in general; the Sushi plate only contains 6 pc, which I think the amount is too little, but the fried outer part was well cooked! Generally speaking, the environment inside is nice, staff are friendly, but the food may be expected to be better, and the prices are not very cheap for a quick meal, especially the Sushi. Anw, it seems to be a popular place due to its excellent location!
