BIRRIA RAMEN! excellent. these people are big brained geniuses. we ordered through doordash and the food is near perfect. if you like spicy, definitely order the chiles toreados! only $1.99 and you get a decent amount for delicious grilled spicy peppers and onions. i only wish we got more chips and salsa, but at least we got one small bag!!

Got 2 taco dinners for pick up (one with steak and one with chicken both with everything on them) and the tacos rojos. This was a crazy amount of food. Great value and absolutely delicious. The meat was seasoned really well and they were very generous with it. They also gave us three different sauces. The orange red one was our favorite. Really good smokey and spicy sauce. The green one was super fresh and vibrant. Also delicious. The red one was a solid salsa, but the others were just so good we didn't use it much. They were also very generous with the number of limes which I really appreciated.
I would have taken pictures, but this smelled so good and I was impatient. Will definitely be back though, and might even dine in. The place has a great vibe.

It’s been a while since I’ve been back here. I noticed that there’s a significant up charge if you are not Hispanic. There is a difference for when I order online and when I actually come in person, I am charge significantly more for the same item that I get every time I come here. the person who cash me out says it’s due to tax but I only order the same thing whenever I come here. The receipt does not clearly show the difference between the price you pay for your food and tax the person at the register and just types and the number that they want you to pay. This is a red flag that I should have noticed . I will not be back here. Please keep in mind that they will of upcharge you, depending on your race and whoever’s taking your order.

My order was incorrect, when I noticed I was instantly upset because I’m STARVING and I was excited to try these Steak Fries because everything else that I tried here has been good thus far. I instantly called the restaurant to let them know I was missing cheese sauce on top of my fries, the man reassured me that it was in a cup in the bag (I didn’t check the bag at first because I was upset that I didn’t see the cheese sauce on top of my food), So I was back happy. I searched the bag and my bfs food and NOTHING!!! I was so HURT. I called the restaurant to let the man know that I didn’t have the cheese sauce and he kept repeating over and over that he’s the only person working and he KNOWS he put the cup in the bag, I kept telling him that I didn’t have the cheese cup and that I would even bring the food back to the restaurant because I no longer wanted it, he stopped listening because he was irritated and he hung up on me…at this point I just want my refund.

We drove from Decatur to try this Mexican restaurant on 10/4/24 around 8pm. They have amazing looking combos on their menu with tacos & nachos, tacos and wings, etc.. on their Facebook but didn't include a price list but it's what intrigued me for 2 years to come. So when we got there, there were only 3 tables sitting. So we thought prompt service.Took a good 10 minutes to get drinks. Salsa comes in 2oz cups, different salsas to try. Once we started looking at the menu we discovered the price for their popular combos were $32.99 each. Which, I find outrageous. So we all ordered other things off the menu. When we were able to order it took about 30 minutes to get our food. My husband got the Fajitas and they were steaming, which was the only thing that was hot. I got the Birikka tacos, which were luke warm and flavorless. My son got the 14" burrito and he said it was okay for being warm. I felt like the prices were okay for what we ordered but the fact that they weren't busy and how long it took our food was unreasonable. I felt rushed to order and the attention to our table was lacking considering when we got our food the 3 tables that were there had left.
They probably have the ability to do better but I won't waste my time and drive over an hour to come back again.

La Mixteca catered for a company picnic that we attended, we enjoyed the food and wanted to try their restaurant out. The wait staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Ordered the birrikeka, enchilada with green sauce, and a house margarita for lunch, all were great and for $3.99 I couldn't say no to the margarita. They serve their chips with 3 salsas!
