Price was outrageous for so little food. $17.20 for french fries and cheese curds? I thought at least the portions would be large at that price. They weren't. Curds were bland, even worse than Culver's. The dipping sauce that came with the curds was some cold, lumpy, marinara type thing: watery in places and chunky in others. Fries were nothing special. At least they were cooked all the way through. Wasn't told I would be charged extra money for some gross, straight from the can, musty, fake cheese dipping sauce when they asked if I wanted any. Never again. You would expect the food would be reasonably priced at a food hall with no waiters. In these photos, I had tried exactly 1 curd and 1 fry, so awful I had to document it. What a ripoff.

We’ve always enjoyed the Sweet Rooster sandwich at the other Smith Burger location—it’s consistently been excellent. Today we decided to try it at the Yard, but unfortunately the experience wasn’t the same. The sandwiches had way too much sauce, which made them overly sweet and overpowered the flavor of the fried chicken. My husband couldn’t even finish his because of the sweetness. We hope this can be improved, as we’ve never had this issue at the other location.

City slicker, bacon mac attack burgers are so good. Cajun fries and cheese curds are the way to go.

I had Smith Burger Co at a friends wedding reception this weekend and let me tell you... it was one of the best burgers I have had. I had the city slicker with mayo and some cajun fries. Wish it was closer to Springfield but man... 2 thumbs up.

Ate here for the first time today (2/26/25), at thier Collective Pour location. It was absolutely fantastic and will definitely be going back. Me and my wife had the Bacon Ranch burger and just couldn’t stop eating it til it was gone. I had onion rings and she had fries. The home made ranch I could have just eaten with a spoon as well as the western sauce that came with my onion rings.

We were in town for the day and our son had to have a big juicy burger after his surgery, so after some searching we landed on smith burger co. HANDS DOWN the best burgers we’ve had! Burgers are a favorite in our house and we’re seriously considering another 2 hour trip exclusively to eat here again!
