Stango is the best. Whenever we feel the need for some tasty comfort food, Stango is our go to! Great service and amazing dishes. Vegetarian friendly, too! We’re so glad Stango exists.

Every time I order from Stango, I'm never left disappointed or dissatisfied. I've tried many items off their menu like the Jamaican pies, Samosas, Beef stew, Chicken curry, gizzards, beans, veggies, etc. and it's all so good.
The food may look unassuming and simple, but they are flavorful, balanced, pretty healthy (depending on what you get) and that once you start digging in you won't stop.

It was my first time trying Zambian food. It was great! We got the Chio's platter and the Urbana vegetarian plate since it was vegan friendly. I ordered delivery and it showed up in good time. I definitely recommend and hope to get food from here again : )

Food: Got the platter and an appetizer of samosas. Samosas were tasty but cold in the middle. Platter was all just okay. Nothing really wowed me. I came in with high expectations, never having had Zambian food. But there was nothing that stood out as especially unique. If you’ve had carribean food it’s pretty much the same thing.
Service: went at on off time so there was only person there who was cleaning in the back. Soda machine was broken.
Atmosphere: Not great. There was construction equipment near the doorway just sitting there which looked a little out of place. Our table was dirty and had some sticky stuff on it. From what I saw of the kitchen is was pretty messy and unkempt. A lot of stuff just sitting around. I went right when they opened which leads me to believe it’s just not a well maintained kitchen
Overall it was fine. Overpriced and underwhelming for my high expectations. Maybe at peak hours the atmosphere would be better and more staff. Probably wouldn’t go back unless someone really wanted to go.

Best food in town… no in the world! I first tried Stango’s at the Champaign farmers market I had their chicken pie and beignets and I mean it was MARVELOUS! I went back for me to take home including veggie pies and samosa ( the sauce the samosa you haveeee to try) so with that said I had to go see them in person and try their other cuisines. So today I ordered their curry chicken with rice and greens. And I mean chef kiss 😚 🤌🏾. Everything I have had is full of flavor , you can truly taste the herbs and spices used, no seasoning overbears another. I can taste the dedication, care, and love in every single bite. I will be back for more tasty cuisines inspired from the mother land.

It was my first time trying Zambian food and it was all delicious! The lady who took our order and brought out our food was friendly and attentive. It was all very reasonably priced with good portion sizes. No complaints!

I had called in with a question about the food truck. When I arrived for my food my voice was recognized and my question answered. The food was very tasty and matched the menu description. I was most impressed with the very friendly staff.

Food was very tasty, I had to go back for more! I never had Zambian food before and it reminded me of various Caribbean dishes. My favorites were the samosa patties, fried goat, curry cabbage and their oxtail. Im a big food & travel for work. I wish I found this place sooner. Hidden Gem for sure!

LOVE Stango Cuisine!!! I've been coming here for 4 years and typically order the goat, oxtail, or chicken curry, and the food has been amazing every time. Definitely recommend the nshima and greens sides, though you can't go wrong with rice, plantains, or beans. The meat & greens is perfectly seasoned, and even the nonadventurous, picky eaters in my family have enjoyed Stango. The staff has always been very friendly and service is quick.
My only critique is their current location is a little hole-in-the-wall and the soda machine is sometimes flat.
I'm in town from chicago and she was very kind to me, the place was clean and my food tasted so good!! thank you!!
What a waist of money. Food was old and dried. Go some place else.

This was really disappointing. They were out of several things I wanted to try/order. The beverage fountain doesn't work. I ended up ordering WINGS because they didn't have the ethnic dishes I'd gone there for. They tasted off, like they were cooked in oil that was mostly used for organs. It tasted like gizzards or livers. The fries also tasted that way. Absolutely dirty oil. I won't be back.
