The service was great, and the shrimp pho was delicious!! We tried their mango sticky rice, and loved that it had coconut ice cream too.

Sticky Rice is always one of my favorite places to visit, and no matter what we get, we never leave without the mango sticky rice. The rice is warm and sweet, the mango is always fresh, and it's topped with a homemade coconut ice cream.

First time at this restaurant. Are server was very knowledgeable and made suggestions based on what we might like. The food came out hot and was presented very well on the plates and bowls. Kudos to the kitchen staff for such a great job! We will definitely be back!

This family owned restaurant has some of the best food my husband and I have ever had. We have traveled to many places and after leaving Champaign and eating Sticky Rice since they opened, we moved to Atlanta and we cannot find anything comparable. Their Tom Kha Kai soup and panang chicken curry is our all time favorite. Also, do not pass up their mango sticky rice! Their customer service is above all, and the way they treat their customers is something special that you won’t find at many restaurants nowadays. They consistently offer great food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere in the downtown area. Anytime we are close to sticky rice we make the extra drive to dine with them!

I tried beef Pho. It was just OK. Nothing stood out.

+ lunch specials
+ typical thai-vietnamese menus including Phos
+ window seatings
- shortage of servers
- no free parking during weekdays

Best fried rice in town. Also, greatly appreciate the customization options for dietary restrictions.

Sticky Rice - Downtown offers authentic Thai cuisine with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. Known for dishes like Pad Thai and flavorful curries, it’s a favorite for those craving genuine Thai food. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for quick lunches or relaxed dinners. Service is friendly and efficient. Overall, a solid choice for tasty, well-prepared Thai in a convenient downtown location.

My family talked me in to trying this gem! I’m not sure why I have not tried it and man, have I been missing out! We did have a party of 5 and as we were leaving, patrons were waiting for tables but it was Dad’s weekend at the U of I campus as well around 2:15pm directly following a football game. All of the food we ordered was excellent, appetizers and entrees! It is small inside with limited seating but still was able to enjoy lunch and conversation amongst other tables. Highly recommend! I will definitely be enjoying this delicious food very soon, once again!

I ordered the Pad Se-ew and their signature crab Rangoon.

Both Dishes were a huge serving, and I believe extremely competitively priced.

It’s the kind of place that you would definitely bring your visiting friends and or family to!!

VERY BAD SERVICE!!!!!!!!
It was such a bad experience. The food was good, and one of the male staff was friendly, but one female staff’s attitude was extremely RUDE!!!!!! First, she didn’t ask what drink we would like. she just dropped two glasses of water on the table rudely without saying a word and walked away. Later, she threw the bill tray onto our table even though we hadn’t asked for the check and clearly weren’t ready to leave. Throughout the whole process, her expression toward us was cold and disrespectful, as if we owed her money. What made it worse was that she treated other customers with a completely different, friendly attitude. It was such a disappointing experience, and we will definitely not go back again.

Came here for dinner and had a wonderful meal! The yellow curry was very fresh, and especially delicious with the chili oil. Also ordered the egg rolls and the cucumber salad, both of which were very good. Finally, the mango sticky rice was outstanding—maybe the best I’ve ever eaten. Service was very good, and portions were quite generous.
