I came to eat at this Chinese Buffet Restaurant today with a friend I noticed that the workers kept staring at us while we were eating which made us feel uncomfortable than after a while two workers stood on the other side my the soda machine and continued to stare at us. I decided to leave because we felt uncomfortable when it was time to pay for the food the cashier took the card out my hand ruled she was very unkind and inpolite to me Maybe they don't like Black Women because this is not the first time I have had a bad experience coming to a establishment. I would like a Refund because I didn't enjoy my food or visit I left because they continued to make me feel uncomfortable
Excellent buffet

While I understand to keep buffet costs down, they sometimes don't turn food over quickly ..
Food can dry out etc.
The ratio of patrons, is what typically causes replenishment
We arrived at six pm.
There was one person eating
We both tried fried rice, and various other items. Crab Rangoon, chicken
Nothing was edible ...tough, not warm to cold, and the majority of things very dried out and flavourless
I motioned for waitress...I expressed that the items were not appetizing, some not edible.
I thought they would bring something fresh
I said I could order to go, if they would make it fresh.
I was met with frustration bordering on anger as she demanded I pay for the drinks (not drank) and get out/go.
I paid 5$ for the two drinks and we left.
I can't imagine the difficulty of running a restaurant
Let alone a buffet trying to keep it all fresh, warm, available
But it certainly wasn't our fault for being disappointed.
We made our complaint quietly and with respect.
The fact we were willing to order fresh food, and instead were met with rudeness, abruptness and told to pay for our drinks and go, is why we won't be back
While they might have been having a bad day with their presentation/options/ freshness
How we were treated isn't unacceptable.

Probably will not visit this establishment again. Came here from previous reviews but I'm pretty sure that they were bought or faked.
The decor is thread are with the carpet showing patches in some areas. No music was playing during our visit so we had the pleasure of listening to everyone else eat.
The buffet selection was disappointing and the freshness of food for a dinner time visit was awful. The egg drop soup had a literal crust I had to break through because it had not been stirred/replaced in so long. A lot of the options were dry from sitting out so long and the tight quarters made it hard to navigate between other customers.
The service was completely lacking with the only words spoken to my partner and I being "Table for 2?", "what would you like to eat?" and "refill?" until the bill came. The two servers stood in one place next to the drink station talking for the most part. On one of my drink orders, the server didn't listen and gave me Coke instead of Diet Coke. She got a little bit of a attitude when I corrected her when I refilled again.
Nothing to write home here about. I wish I could have seen the restaurant that earned those previous reviews because the place I visited has obviously gone downhill since then.

I've been coming to this place for years now and never have had a complaint until today. So I'll come here with my kids and get our food. All settled down. Started eating and I found a piece of metal in my noodles. Well I would suggest that you be careful of what you get. This experience might be the last time I come here. Cuz it makes me wonder if there's anything else in the food. I mean they have good food overall but after this experience no.The staff is definitely very nice than the atmosphere is pleasant, but the overall appearance place looks outdated and under maintained, especially when it comes to the seating in the carpets. But from this experience they did give me my meal for free. But I'm not going to be coming here anymore. I just can't trust what I'm eating here anymore and especially when I bring my little kids with me all the time. I don't need to be bringing them to a hospital to get a piece of metal out of their throat.

Restaurantji Recommends
Our favorite Chinese restaurant in Champaign Urbana. Always an outstanding buffet with so many delicious choices. The green beans are the best I’ve ever had. You’d never guess that you’d also find some of the cheesiest, tastiest homemade Mac and cheese here as well. Don’t let the converted restaurant scare you away, this place is absolutely wonderful.
Kid-friendliness: My kids begged to go to the buffet.

They tipped themselves $18 dollars for a party of 5. The lady was vacuuming next to us and then the whole place the whole time we were there, so disrespectful! All the dust particles and who knows what getting in the food, not only in ours food but also in the buffet section. When we asked why bro tipped himself $18 he said "that is how it is in Wisconsin" and couldn't explain further because he doesn't speak english. You don't have a good variety of food, the noodles taste like nothing, dumplings are dry and burnt, rice is also super dry, even the sushi was dry like how do you mess that up? So expensive for so little food and bad treatment. I visited other restaurants/buffets in wisconsin and they were cheaper even with tips! I do not recommend this place, I love chinese food and buffets, I visited many and this is one of the worst I have ever been.
