They put chocolate chips on my pancake and called it a day. Also the veggie dipper was hella bland.
Their biscuits and gravy are the best in town

Great place for breakfast, very friendly atmosphere. Inside of an old building with a beautiful ally next to it full of murals.

I had an excellent experience at the courier cafe. As soon as you sit down you are met with a unique charm, and a very interesting description about each artifact on the menu. The food is great! I got the breakfast sandwich and was satisfied with the portion and flavor. Andrea is extremely kind and helpful during the ordering process, and clearly enjoys her job, taking every effort to make the best experience for the customer.

I took my granddaughter who is a U of I freshman there. Been awhile since I have been there. My sandwich was not good..salad bar was..and server forgot to bring me my soup..which was lukewarm. My granddaughter liked her buffalo chicken sandwich. Expensive place to eat for lunch. We won't be back.

Food is ok.
We have always loved this restaurant and drive 90 minutes each way to have breakfast there. Stopped on 8/16 on our way back from Indy and couldn't believe the difference. The restaurant was filthy...hadn't been vacuumed in days; fingerprints on all the glass etc. My oatmeal was cold, but rest of food was fine. We definitely will not be back.

Restaurantji Recommends
The food was good although we waited an extremely long time for it. When I got the wings they were cold and a side of onion rings that had an extra price only came with 5 onion rings. The ketchup was empty, the sugar container had humidity inside and there was not enough milk for the coffees. The restaurant smells mildew-ish. It needs a deep cleaning and some fresh clean air

On 8/15/25 I went to have breakfast they didn't have coffee .I said water was fine few minutes later they brought me coffee few minutes later I was told they didn't have home fried potatoes so I decided to finish my coffee and pay and go my server then accused of being mad so I paid and left then on 8/25/25 I went to have breakfast the same server I got again she had some one else wait on me also 4 times they went past me not once did they offer me more coffee so I paid and voiced .my opinion and left and said I would not be back so I hate to say but that server had no right to accuse me of being mad when I wasn't

Salad bar had rotted lettuce... serious... it was BROWN & turning liquid. Felt like eating garbage. Selection of ingredients was terrible too. Way overpriced at $15 for a single plate of it. Chili was cold and not good anyway. Didn't come with any extras either... not even crackers. Burger was lukewarm, which is a huge no-no for me. Onion rings were decent. Spent $50 and left hungry because the food was so bad. Maybe it's better at lunch.

First, smells like an old bathroom when you walk in. Food is okay and expensive- you pay extra for all sides. Have great memories of this place- it just isn’t what it used to be. Staff is nice.
