Simply the best restaurant in Champaign-Urbana. Whether you just want a perfect caeser salad with the best thin crust PIZZA ANYWHERE or you wish to try something originally put together for a culinary orgasm, it is all there. More casual downstairs at the bar or upstairs for the best dining experience in town. The best!
Absolutely great food. This is the best Italian food in Champaign Urbana that I have gone too. Far better than Napoli's, biaggis, and more. The cost is a bit higher but it is worth it. The butternut squash ravioli and short rib gnocchi are amazing. The vibe is very dark and cozy, great for a nice date night.

Family went in for pizza and everyone was pleased. I chose the traditional with sausage, pepperoni, garlic, spinach, goat cheese, pepperoncinis, spinach and balsamic glaze. I know it sounds like a lot, but it should be on the menu. Best pizza I have had in a long time! The old fashioned I had was not my style. Too much ice and cherry. Couldn't even taste bourbon. Should have ordered a beer anyway to go with pizza. Food came quick and service was good.

This upscale restaurant is located just steps away from the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts - ideal for a dinner before the concert. We had reservations in the bar area: an intimate setting, perhaps a bit crowded, on the ground floor. (The main restaurant is upstairs.) The bartender was our server and did a great job! Gourmet food and delicious.
Timpone family has been serving me Italian food for over 50 years . Simply the best !!!

This is a hidden gem in Urbana. The food is exquisite and the portions appropriate for the adult palet. The grilled peach salad (a seasonal dish) is unique and delicious. Pasta dishes are varied and delicious. One of the best Italian meals in recent memory.
I briefly worked here around the early 2010s. The head chef was the most verbally abusive people I’ve ever met. The staff chalked it up to him being “old school.” The reality was he just has gone unchecked. One time I was walking to the restaurant to start my shift and while I was crossing the street in front of his car he was outright screaming at me. I don’t think he knew I worked at the restaurant. I highly discourage anyone from giving them business. 15 years later I realize how terrible he treats his staff.
When we want the best treat we can offer ourselves we choose Timponis. Over many years there has been nothing but complete satisfaction. I hope it’s there as long as I live!
We have been frequenting this spot for a couple of years and have never had a bad meal. On New Year's Eve, the chef made a special fish dish that was out of this world. A mixture of Sicilian grains and radish shavings all with a saffron-like sauce; it was a combination of warm and cool. The truffle oil sauce on the tenderloin has also been a favorite of ours to the point where the sauce and crispy bread make the dish worth ordering for them alone. Service is unobtrusive and responsive. There is a big wine selection though we don't order wine. The Boston Creme Pie is sometimes on the menu and always a treat. The seasonal and high quality food are worth the splurge because my spouse never reacts badly.

Terrible service! I asked to change the payment method and twice they told me to call back because they didn't want to do the work.
I'm never going back!

The best thin crust pizza ever in a pleasant, casual atmosphere, with excellent service in the heart of the U. of I. campus.
What a treat, a hidden delight.

Another great meal at Timpones. Delicious cocktails before we ate with Drew at the bar. Fabulous BLT bruschetta for an appetizer. Linguini with clams and sausage pizza for main course. We were too full for dessert!
Best pizza in town, hands down
