I believe this is the only Tropical Smoothie Cafe location in the Champaign-Urbana Area. Beware that it’s located INSIDE the Illini Union - so the pictures of the stand-alone location provided by the company are a bit deceiving.But don’t let that be a reason to turn you away. This location still produces the expected quality and service as other locations. The Pomegranate Plunge was really delicious!They also let you order ahead and use rewards at this location—something that the Starbucks right next to it (also inside the Illini Union) lacks.Will be back!

I asked a friend to order a Triple Berry Oat smoothie for me and they refused to make it because they were out of blueberries. I have never had this sort of issue at any other smoothie place as others will just offer a substitution. She got me a different drink they were willing to make which was good, but not making a drink when the customer is perfectly fine missing or substituting one ingredient is a bit ridiculous.If you're okay not getting the order you ask for, you can try this place out because the replacement was good. Otherwise, get your smoothies elsewhere.

I always receive great customer service here. They get super busy sometimes and you get to see how hard they work at making sure the wait time isn’t long. The customer service is just as good when it’s busy as when it’s not.

Normally I’d recommend Tropical Smoothie but today I got a quesadilla that had barely anything inside it!! I paid $9 for a smoothie and some slices of a tortilla with hardly anything in it.
